wow, i was just looking at my now broken engine cover brackets and decided to check the oil level, first time since i owned the car that I do (chair)

sure enough, it's low, VERY low, at first i thought the drip stick just wasn't cathing the oil, but after a million tries, i give up, jack up the car, and drain the oil, there was only 2 quarts in it (boom01) and i ws about to go on a road trip with no oil

i changed the oil at 21k miles, now its at 22302, using mobil synthetic 10w30 and OEM filter

any idea why it burned 2 quarts in 1k miles?

probably a leak, at the drain plug or the filter.

do you park in one spot most of the time? if so, go check if you have a leak spot. same goes at your work place, if you have a parking spot for yourself

well, there is no sign of oil leak on the block, either on the drain plug or the filter

but it doesn't matter now, i need a new oil pan since i just destroyed my current one :(
