And mickey, do you have yellow overlays or something on those fogs? I think it would look nice with a set of blue ones like mine to match your neons and healights. Still looks nice though, are you still getting rid of your WW kit?

no they are piaa round 40's with yellow piaa bulbs, and i do have clear rockblockers on them.

thinking of just getting rid of the fender flars because it might not go with my dg lip. got the mp3 bumper on and gonna leave the side skirts and rear lip on.

yea im gonna take off the mtx banner here in a lil bit, but on the spoiler its not a sticker its the chrome plate the comes wit the spoiler.

Thanks bro, yea ill get that fixed pretty quik here, i also replaced my short ram intake, for the K&N cold air intake, ordered the Billet coolant tank, should be here on wensday, and also ordered the OBX Header, but wont get that till the end of may cuz there on back order, ill post pics when all done. i need to do somthin about the valve cover, not sure if to chrome it or powder coat it black.

Let me guess, you don't have the MSP/MP3/Protege5 front bumper support do you? It seems to be sagging down below your headlights, but otherwise the fitment is decent.

On their site, there are two models shown. One for the Protege5, and the other is shown on an MSP... so they don't at all warn people that they are going to have to spend a decent chunk of change on a new front bumper support?

yea bro i have the support, was looking at it today again, me and my cousin gonna refit it, cuz it was just me doin the fenders and front bumper this past saturday, was anxious lol. but i lift it up and it sets better so were gonna take off everything and re-do it.

sup bro, i order the front bumper on the phone from the buddy club company, the fenders i got on ebay. worked out good for me, just kinda put it on in a hurry gonna fix the fitment on the front bumper friday. this time ill have some assistance lol.

Did the MSP come with a pin stripe?

And, Should I remove mine?

I was thinking yes because first off if I dont like the look I can always put a new one on and second the stripe up front looks kinda wierd now that I have the eyelids covering some of the headlight.

i say yeah remove it, i did. mine didnt come with it, after repaint my dad striped it and didn't like it. (plus put on the fender flars and didn't fit) but it is up to you.
another note: send me those mirrors and handles and i will paint them for about $100

Yeah, all I was waiting on was someone to say take them off, I thought it would look better with them off but everyone around here says just leave them, but what do they know, they drive trucks. I think im gonna take them off tomorrow, any need for a wash afterwards? Because I just washed her earlier today.

About the mirrors, do you have to sand them down and stuff? I was looking for the covers that fit my mirrors like the mirror covers on the P5's, I know they fit because theres a space for them. And I wish I could send you the stuff for paint, but its kinda my only way around town and soon my only way to work, the 5O wouldnt like me not having mirrors lol. Im gonna see what the guy who did my skirts offers me and see whats up, thanks though!

na, no paint on the lip. I just painted the skirts black! I have got the silver & black thing go'n. I have the grill in my trunk. soon the rear lip (was blue) will soon be black & on the back! pics soon.

nope, they are sprint, 2" all the way around. yeah, I like the cleaner look of the lines. I bought it right after I bought the car, and didn't know there was a diff. between mp5/msp & sedans, oh well, I might sell it soon. Also if anyone has a stock SEDAN grill, I might want a 2nd. thinking about playing w/ paint???

ok i stand corrected. I really like the look of ur car but id love to see a crisp picture. find a friend with a DSLR or turn down the standard picture size on ur camera. And yeah Hyper yellows are cool, but i think itd look really nice with some HIDs

If you are talking about mine, I was thinking of painting both upper & lower grill sivler, but I do not know if it will be too much. But if it is... they always have more spray paint (cabpatch)

I like the way yours looks & mine is an '03, so it is 2.0 & it is still under warranty, so no big plans on engine mods, I was talking looks (rear window spoiler OR lip spoiler on the trunk), but after seeing yours & a couple of the other earlier, I was looking to buy maybe a second fun car, like a '99 or something, just to have an automatic for the gf to drive, since she doesn't want to f' mine up. She is so sweet!

it is in my gf's back yard, I am on my way to paint it right now! Sweet, can't wait to get it on. when I bought it from another member it had a crack right over the exhaust cut-out (the weakest part) & since my dad builds airplanes out of a carbon fiber material, we patched it w/ that, then I sanded it down (it came blue), primed it & paint (layer #1) tonight!

maybe miata 15 or 16" wheels? OEM styles tend to look okay without a drop

I didn't have to lower it, but you might have to have it moved and welded a little so it doesn't rub on your bumper. I didn't have to lower it at all, just position it an inch or so to the right.

I'm not getting smaller rims just to lower my car, there is no point for me to do that since I'm driving to U of H almost everyday or so. Too many pot holes and problems with my car, IF it was lowered. My bumpers is chipped enough as is. Haha

A guy in Knoxville is selling me his for 150$ all 4 pieces, when he had his P5 they sent him the wrong kit...and he ended up getting rid of the P5 so the kits been in his garage for the last 6-8mos. But yes Im getting the same BuddyClub2 kit.

I wasn't saying get smaller rims, I was saying a different style might look better NOT lowered, since you already stated you didn't plan to lower the car

My car is STOCK height and I have NO trouble with speed bumps, but I DO have trouble with steep inclines. So if you put that kit on your car and it is lowered 1.5 inches, you WILL have trouble with inclines and maybe some speed bumps.

The custom audio enclosure I had done weighs down the back A LOT!!! So I mainly just need the springs for the front, but I know I have to buy all 4 anyways. Any suggestions?

tein's - they will lower the front more, but since you have extra weight in the back, it might even out.

i understand your concerns - just an FYI, the lip only adds about 1.5 MAX (probably less, but i never measured) to the lower edge of the bumper

Damn, why couldn't Ford/Mazda do something useful for the 4cyl crowd and put the SVT motor/tranny in the MP3 or MSP (turbo'd of course) or something and call it a day. I mean honestly, if you think about it the SVT 2.0L has I think roughly 160hp..? something like that. If you put a T25 on that you'd be boosting more or less 200-215hp, which would have moved the MSP up in the class, making it not the lowest man on the totem pole for its class. It would have maybe had a snowballs chance in hell against the SRT4 or the WRX, as it sits now, I think that the MSP barely hangs with the 175hp Sentra SpecV 6spd which is N/A. I love my car, but the engineers at Ford/Mazda are not the brightest crayons in the box.

well i talked to the guy that was trying to do the svt 6spd swap he said that the trans bolted up and mounted into his 02 pro but the axles were going to have to be custum made to fit the trans and the hubs he said that the reason he stop was he was working on too many things at the time

I can tell you all this, i never had a single issue with my ZX3 but when i get my SVT i had the car in the shop 7 times 3 of them in the last month. I do not suggest to anyone they purchase one of those. It was quite a bit faster than my protege and the 6 speed was nice but for realiabilty i give it a big thumbs down (gtfo)

why don't you get the sport20 kit...hehe...i'm just saying cause i got one.....

I like the look of the Erebuni better. Sport 20 is nice don't get me wrong but not really my style.

Next thing I'm doing is getting my muffler, then after I've saved for a bit I'll be getting the body kit. Dunno If I'm going to go wingless or not, haven't decided yet.

I've found it for 450 plus close to 200 in shipping, which isn't really all that bad. However paint will cost a bit too. Just curious how much has it cost you guys to get your kits painted?
