Here are some pictures of my 2K2 Protege RS. I'm still waiting on the RS badge from the Philippines and the trunk has changed a bit. The light housing on the back is now black and the mazda and protege symbols have been swapped. Once I get the 03.5 style wing on there, I'll get new trunk shots. Enjoy...

Here's my car domain too. It's been ages since I've updated though, yet it has some good pictures and Ideas I still want to do.

nice looking car. Just a suggestion...I wouldn't put the 03.5 wing on it until I got at least a lip kit on it. Just my two cents though. I think a wing that big on a stocker Pro would look a little over done. Im glad u changed your tailights! Good start.

well I finialy toped out the protege, 120 is where it stops. in the pic it isn't at 120 cuz it drops right away when you hit the limiter.

I topped out at 120 on my way to Dallas. I made it from Tulsa to Dalls in 3 hrs which going the legal speed, its about 4.5hrs. So yea. I think it was going faster but my needle stopped

My wheels are 19" and I really don't have any bigger pics right now. My car is sitting dirty in my driveway. I havent driven it much latley. But I am going to put new Brembo rotors on (paint calipers red i think)and Change the interor to a silver or dark grey, black leather combo here before hot import nights. I'm going with classic soft trim. so hopefully will have it in shape for show this year!(sun)

Welcome Jaguar, I hear ya, I don't exactly have a lot of $$ to throw towards modding either. (especially since my gas bills are nuts due to commuting to school) Everyone's like "You should do this and that" and I'm like "yeah, give me the 5k to do it". Just do a little at a time and it'll work out! Good luck

Ya, that's why I'm probably going to do a full MP3 or MSP conversion. The fitment is great and the parts hold up longer. Personally, I would prefer that over a BC2 kit. Something about the rear bumper ruins it for me :(

I think its the slot right behind the rear tires. If it weren't for that the rear bumper would look pretty good

Updated pics with the skirts and air dam. The air dam was a pretty easy install and it went right together. However, I used painters tape to mark the holes instead of the template. Also I opted to use a bolt washer combo as opposed to the bit that popped into the mudguards.

Well Project Sparco knob is finally complete! I installed it with a Kartboy SS and bushings and also got a new SR boot. I drilled the inside of the knob with a 5/8" steel bit and the knob now screws all the way onto the shifter. I'm glad to be done with the truck (stock) shifter. The leather grip on the knob was coming loose so I took it off for the time being.

Took a few pics today and met the mall security. I was taking pics and had my back to the door to the stairway. Right when I finished, I heard the door slam shut. I was the only person on top of the multi-level parking structure, so I walked over to my car and got in.

30 seconds later a ford ranger pickup came driving up and an elderly guard said, "It's illegal to take pictures on mall property, you'll have to destroy them." I turned around and flipped the battery cover open and pulled out the sd card. I then showed him that the internal memory was clear and I drove off.

I'm sure there are plenty of protege folks around your area that would help you out if you buy some pizza and a case of beer ;)

I would help out if I were closer - if for no other reason than to help alleviate a bad case of wheel gap ;)

you'll be surprised how much more responsive the steering is with a little drop

your car is screaming to be lowered....but nice grill!!!

Thanks, it needs a little more touching up though. I finally got the last bits today, so when my buddy is free we're going to finally lower it!

Hah...I appreciate the thought. Maybe I'll find someone in the Tampa/St. Pete area with the same desire to cure those of us with bad cases of wheel gap.

he had one, but she dont appear on the pictures..

i tried to put a p5 upper grille but the fitting is bad and i had a gap of 1" under the hood so i did a custom grill.. it's not the best but it's better than without

try going to www.erebuni.com I got my custom grill from them and it makes a HUGE diffence in apperance.. no one has any idea what i drive when i pull up. The fitting will be a little better with the P5 front bumper compared to my buddyclub2 kit.

Lookin' Good. Going to stay wingless?

Hey can you see how the rear MSP lip is attached? I was wondering how it was held on.

D-rock240
07-17-2006, 08:44 PM
Yes wingless=teh sex :)

If you look under your bumper you will see two pieces sticking out with holes where you mount it. The rest is 3m double sided tape. I love the 03.5 rear lip, IMO it makes the rear look more aggressive than the MP3/MSP rear lip.

Thanks, I'll have to check that out. It's killing me to no see a rear skirt, looks so akward, lol.

I never realized there were multiple rear lips, I always thought they were all the same. I've only seen the MP3 on mazdastuff.com
