Yeah, he's on a local forum but not that active. Nice sand mica, and has all bolt ons minus pullies, VTCS removed, ported intake manifold and Coils relocated.

depends if your anal or not. i would not do the front bumper with out side skirts and rear lip. i always forget what all you will need for the front bumper conversion. i think you need a new bracket support and grill. not sure...someone more knowledgeable will be with you momentarily. lol

i tried doin the conversion but backed out on it... all i believe ya need is the bumper reinforcement and the grill. you can cut into the reinforcemet ya have on the car right now but i dont recommend doig that

I feel your pain, but Southern California style. I was coming home tonight and some jerk ran over a semi-truck tire, and hit me right on the front corner of car and my lip kit! Too dark to ell, but just a bunch of scrapes and skid marks all over my front bumper & quarter panel. Does anyone know how to remove skid marks from paint?

It could be a number of things...I replaced the ignition coils on my car and it ended up being the fuel pump that burnt out. I'm a mechanic in the Army...if you tell me in some form of detail what the car is doing I can probably trouble shoot it to the best of my ability.

If I had kept the Protege longer, and if I really had a bug up my butt about changing the body, I'd have put the lip kit on the stock bumper. But I really liked how it looked with the stock body, dropped, 17s, etc. etc.

I liked how my ES front end looked, but I LOVED the P5 bumper. After tint and wheels that was my next cosmetic mod. Now I need to paint and install the rest of the msp body kit. But in my opinion P5/MSP bumper>ES bumper.

IMO those are both examples of poseur. Sure, the interfooler is a more extreme example. Of course, there are other ways of looking at it, and opinions will vary per person. But anywho, back to the pics!

The BC2 side skirts look good when you get the DG front lip too, otherwise the side skirts will extend noticeably further down than the front bumper by itself.


Anyone think it would look like shit if I did the BC2 side skirts with MSP rear lip and MP3 front bumper? just thinking...cuz I've already got the BC2 kit, but dont want to mess with the whole fiberglass shit and it breaking. But I've always loved the MP3 front bumper over the MSP. And I already have a MSP rear lip I bought when I was in Iraq. So all I'd need is the MP3 front bumper.

As for your opinion on the whole front bumper discussion...thats your right to your opinion...I just don't like the look of the stock bumper because its boring and plain and the car still looks like a 4x4 even with it being lowered...I dunno just isn't my cup of tea. And I think a lot of people put those front bumpers on their cars because the BC2 kit is cheap...regardless where you buy it they are all the same and are still going to chip and crack easily. Thats why I wanted the MP3/P5 front because I know its a lot more durable than the BC2 front.

As for your opinion on the whole front bumper discussion...thats your right to your opinion...I just don't like the look of the stock bumper because its boring and plain and the car still looks like a 4x4 even with it being lowered...I dunno just isn't my cup of tea. And I think a lot of people put those front bumpers on their cars because the BC2 kit is cheap...regardless where you buy it they are all the same and are still going to chip and crack easily. Thats why I wanted the MP3/P5 front because I know its a lot more durable than the BC2 front.

I remember seeing this argument a few years ago, some people with MP3s and Speeds wanted to keep the exclusivity. I got a couple negative comments when I did the swap in 06. In the end, it's your car.

i took my car to upton tire pros since my front end had been shaking, i asked for an alignment and tire balance.

I get a call "this is upton callin about the work on ur HONDA" "Because of the suspension, we wont be able to set the camber since the manufacturer doesnt give a spec for the camber adjustment" (I was pretty offended being thrown in the honda pool. Hes playing me for some ricer?haha)

"Can u just set it even on both sides or to -1?"

"No my manager wont let me." (not word from word but)

The camber up front is off by .3 degrees, but the rear is off by -1 degrees more on the left rear.

My front end still shakes a bit, but not until 70 instead of 60, and it seems to be better on different roads or road crown or something. It cud be just how much its been shakin before, but im not sure ill have to drive it more. All Ive done was put on a strut bar and longer endlinks, and thats when i really realized it.

Im gonna try my steelies tomorrow.

I like the drop, mixed feelings on the red wheels. You should remove the side moldings, they don't protect your car from suv doors anyways. The light colored cars look a lot cleaner without them, especially since they are black. I don't miss mine :)

If you just spend like 5 bucks and get a spray gun or nozzle to attach to the can its really easy to do everything evenly.. just make sure you tint them in a well lit area because its sometimes hard to see how much paint you have on the light but otherwise its not difficult.



And DJ dub I think I'll pass on those wretched tail lights, having the bottom clear with the bulbs perfectly visible against an illegally dark tint just isn't my style..sorry buddy
