I want bigger wheels but money is the biggest issue at the moment.

Even if I had the money I'm not sure if I'd want a bigger size, I don't want her raised up one centimeter. :D

as long as you keep the outer diameter of the tire the same (like using 215/35-18 for example) you won't raise the car at all, even going from 15s to 18s

Yeah I'm sure, when I got tires they didn't have 55 so I got 50 instead.

I went from 195/55/15 to 205/40/17 and they are fine. According to that calculator, the speedo will be a bit off, but you'd never notice. Overall diameter is relaly close when the wheels are side by side.

Mine already blocks a lot of the air being on the bottom, and its going to stay there. I don't want it up top, my pocket thing (dash kit) is snapped in half anyways.

Oh, and I keep my car parked in a garage at night and I'm on the other side of the country lol... and I don't sleep!

Thats what I said. My friend at work that drives a BMW ask me why I put the shades up even though I get out of work at 10pm. Got all the bugs zawf. my experience with a public car wash for the first time was horrible. i put in my debit card for 5 bux of quarters, and i get 5 wash tokens, and a reciept that has $10 charged on it. im going to see what really happened and call. it was a real money taker. cudnt stop the timer to do any good detail. using painters tape or something when i go back home.

Sorry lol. Thats why I went from the Goldlines to the Eibach's. I scraped on everything with the Goldlines, I think with the lip and the Eibach's its about the same now. I could never have this lip with the Goldlines, it would probably scrape on level ground lol.

DJ Duwb, the design of ur wheels is safe for black, but it wud be sleeker if u painted them blk and went back to oem bumpers(and possibly an OEM air dam) since ur so dumped. ur going for a hardcore look, but the kit hurts the hardcore look "yu know."

i dont feel small wheels with alot of bodykit. Wht and alloy actually looks good as is. but thats all my taste and preferences perferences ses

Depending on my money income around the time getting wheels is a real possiblity, I might stay with 15s so I can use my same tires or if I'm making enough, I'll try for 16s or 17s with a thin enough tire so it doesn't raise the car too much.

Well since the closest point of the car is less than 2 inchs off the ground, I bearly have any wheel gap. I don't wanna jinks it but to this day, I have not hit anything with the bottom of the car or bumpers and haven't got stuck.

keep the stock ones as they are, dnt bother painting them, and id say go with 17's the just looks so good on proteges which is ironic since i have 18's on my LX (i do hate, however, when people put 17's on MS3's they deserve 18's and nothing less, sorry of the rant).

Hi, I’m trying to find a way to put a ’00-’03 gauge cluster in a ’99 protégé
but I need some help figuring it out.

I posted this in electronics, but I figure it might be faster if I reach out to more 3rd gen owners.

I would appreciate if anyone who owns a 2000-2003 protégé would check their gauge cluster wire harness and write down which pins are connected and what color wires are connected to them.

I did it for the ’99 Mazda Protégé LX, so now I have to figure out what the difference is for ’00-’03. Everything seams to work between these two different clusters except for temperature gauge and tachometer. Since gauge faces are pretty much interchangeable, the only difference must be the pinout on the wire harness.

He's putting the 16" ES wheels on, which have better acceleration than 17"s. I've alredy noticed the difference, but I do agree that 17" wheels fit proteges perfectly :)

Oh no. That's part of the bumper and it was red. I wanted to paint that along with the hood so the black would flow into the black part of the grill.

Well its not that much... I wanted a smaller box because my new radio sucks and I really don't care how the subs sound but still want them there. I don't like that I can't take all the bass out of the door speakers and have it all coming from the subs like I did before. My stock speakers sound like crap with this new radio... there just isn't any adjustability like im use too.

I know what you mean about the stock system. The MSP was to have a premium Kenwood sound system but I was never able to get the sub from cutting out and rattling. So I replaced the whole system. Here is a pic of the last set-up.

I'm currently re-doing it for a second time and hope to have it completed in another 2 weeks.

personialy i dig the smoked fogs ;p and it should look ill on your car.
as for me, my mods.. (newer/ used engine, FUC*ED up tranny, side molding gone, interier work. custom ipod holder in the center consle. 16" saturn rims 'haha' soon to be 15" koings) if the tranny stays good :[ seems like i have issues every week haha.
