Im getting mine shaved off when she goes into the body shop ... I cant wait . Now the only problem i am having is my g.f says if were gonna spend the money on the car we should paint it something other then white. SHe is driving me nuts .

I got one estimate on fri for all the dents removed , full car paint job , engine , door jams , trunk everything ,getting the antenna shaved and hood painted for 2,013 bucks if i paint it like a orange color .
the guy at the body shop told my girl that he thinks the HHR orange is what he would see being nice

I currently have stock struts with Goldline springs and my tires are 17/40/205 or however those numbers go, I forget. I kinda rub in the front with the Goldlines so Im going a little bit higher with the Progress springs, and I dont hear good things about the Goldlines on the Tokico's anyways. My suspension is gonna be sweet! :) I cant wait, but I just got home today, didnt even unpack yet. Tonight was like my christmas lol, oh, and I cant install them untill I get the new springs anyways. Im pretty sure Im going to do the mm inserts tomorrow though. Ill post my updates here I guess?

What are those red thingies?

Side motor mount inserts, as mentioned above. I installed them today long with changing my 5 month old oil and 7 month old oil filter. I can put up pics of the installed inserts if anyone would like.

Well I wanted the Tokico struts, but the Goldlines don't work well with them at all so I went with the Progress because they give a slightly higher ride with the same nice level lowered stance. The struts are gonna be great, and so will the springs:) I haven't been able to test out my mm's yet but I stared her up and put it in drive and didn't have any vibration problems that I could feel, I think at higher RPM's I might but it all seemed great to me. I cant wait to feel if theres any better throttle response from the motor not moving around so much.

I did already have an SLS front mount, and I got some vibrations with that untill I installed the UR UDP and that helped out a bit. I will let you know about the sides next time I take the car out for a spin. :)

Liquid_ag has the SLS mount. Other than idle, you don't notice the vibration (and the vibration at idle gives you a racecar-like feeling, so it's not a bad thing :))

I'm going for the medieval mounts myself. I ordered the front and rear and will order the side and tranny mount when they come out.

Almost 140k on the car and stock mounts ftl :(

It came along nicely...did it all in one day, from 12 noon to 2 in the morning. But we were goofing off plus changed the J&Midpipe and the exhaust also. Well worth it. Only boosting to stock level but the power difference is HUGE! I say if you have the cash turbo it!!

Yeah, I think Im gonna stick N/A lol. Motor mount inserts went well upon my test run today. Motor is held in place really nicely and the throttle response seems to have some more pick up in it. Im just glad the motor isn't jumping around so much anymore, no one likes a broken weld on there header. Oh yeah, and hardly any extra vibrations compaired to just the front mount. There are some between about 1200 and 1500 rpm when im comming up to a stop but there not in the idle range so its not bothering me one bit.

Sweet, my car had been sitting for the last 5 months and has 75,000 on it now, and I didn't really mod it at all untill I hit 56,000 and my warranty was up.

Yea everyone keeps telling me the milage is low. I had it in the Mazda dealership recently for service and 2 different salesmen were trying to buy the car (to resell) because of the low milage. They both told me that all 2002 and 2003 Protege's and M3's they are getting have over 70,000.

I have had the car since 2003. It was a dealer demo with 4,000 miles when I bought it. For the last couple of years I was doing extensive traveling with work so the car was not being driven. I am now back to driving it daily but I have been waiting on the extended warranty to expire to mod it. The extended is more restrictive then the original warranty.

I have to say it is the best car I have ever owned. I have yet to have a problem with it. I only have dealers trying to rape me on service.

I need to stay away from the dealer. I now want a MS3.

I use to go to the dealer for oil changes while it was under warranty but its lowered now and I can get it done anywhere other than my house lol. I don't even know what the dealer would think of my car if I brough it in for something. They would probably have to run the VIN just to find out what it is lol.

Yours is also under mileage.

From what I am seeing there are actually are a lot that are under. My neighbor has a black 2001 P5 with only 38,000 miles that he has moded the hell out of. There is a Blue 2000 P5 with only 39,000 for sale on CarMax. Another neighbor just stole a 2005 RX-8 Touring with only 9,000 miles on it for $18,000.

With a lot of people including my neighbors their Mazda is a second car and not driven daily. Mine is low only because I was not driving it for months at a time plus mine is a little higher then it should be only because it has been to Cali and back twice.

Saw my old car yesterday, brought back some good protege memories so I thought I'd post up this pic as a flashback...

The owner was ahead of me at a stop light. It looked like he had the same rims and exhaust on it. From what I could see he took off the tints on the front and replaced the tail lights with cf, other than that, still looked in good shape

Saw my old car yesterday, brought back some good protege memories so I thought I'd post up this pic as a flashback...

The owner was ahead of me at a stop light. It looked like he had the same rims and exhaust on it. From what I could see he took off the tints on the front and replaced the tail lights with cf, other than that, still looked in good shape
that's funny, I just saw my old protege tonight! I was eating outside in bethesda, and it pulled into the parking garage right next to where I was eating

they put the tint back on (I had to tear it off for DC inspection) and it looked well taken care of

pretty damn clean, hell i would love that car too lol, im going to put a wings west flares on mine, but a msp spoiler hope it turns out good, but the sad thing about my car, it was salvaged :[ so the front frame that holds the radiator and all, was re shaped, so if you look hard at mine you can see the hood doesnt close all the way lol, i wish i could get a new one :[

well i musta missed a day. looks good, but ur cramping my color scheme(fight). u think my wheels looks great? we should trade:D

im gonna PM about a way u can paint those corner lights, and hide the white in em from the glue. Well it wudnt work, but if u use some masking tape and newspaper, u can mark em off and paint a thin strip down the edges, i didnt worry about the top and outter sides
