I just got a 99-00 Shogun Style front bumper, and I am having some problems putting it on.. It seems there bumper is to small to fit over the Stock REBAR, if anyone has this Kit, what did they do to put it on?

I would really like to know, if you have any pics that would be even better..

take the rebar off, it wont fit with it on, custom make u one out of tubing..

Is there not an AIrbag senso behind the REbar? loosing any support in the Front, any pics ofyour Custom made one? waht type of tubing you use

didnt make one, i dont have any one mine, but if you want to do it the safe way, just take some 2 inch square tubing and make a front , and put some foam around it to absorb some of the impact if u do get in a wreck.. 9 of the 10 people who have bumpers on the 99,00 have removed them because of this and have not made a reinforcement

motegi got in a 5mph wreck and it done some bad damage for a 5 mph wreck, insurance still covered it thought..

Mine was totalled from a 15mph wreck, and I had a trimmed bar.

so like i said, if you want to still be safe, fab one out of aluminium tubing

when you took your REBAR off you didn't have to worry about your Airbags at all?

no, air bag sensor is in the front on the frame, not on the rebar

yes, you have to take out the bars, front and rear, I took mine out cause I didn't feel like trimming it.

i am going to take a trip to the Wreckers this week, and see if a 88 323 model Rebar will fit.. smaller car,.. might jsut work.. if I can't find something there, i mgiht jsut sell the Bumper.. i can't risk my car and insurace for a body kit...

It's only for 5mph or less impacts...It doesnt protect the car at higher speeds
