3rd Gen Protegé Sub-Forums?
What's up guys...Let me know if you would like your own sub-forums to keep things more organized OR do you like the current open forum format?
The Sub-forums would be as follows...
Lounge + Welcome area
Appearance
Engine & Performance
Car Audio & Electronics
Suspension, Rims and Tires
How-To
Vote and post feedback...Thanks! :D

i actually like the current layout we have right now.
But i like how you offered to give us more options for the 3rd Gen's. (2thumbs)

I too like the current lay-out, but I think the sub-forums would be a nice change. Specially if you maybe went by engine models. Like sub-forums for the 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 guys. Then maybe having another sub-forum for engine mods/chat about that particular engine type. Then the other forums mentioned in the first thread.
Just my two Lincolns though!!

i think sub forums would be alot easier to get to the stuff you want, obviously more organized information is easier to use, just my two cents. Either way thanks for keeping us in mind!

I like the way it is, but the sub-forums will help a lot in organization and it will be easier to find stuff.
so I am good for the sub (thumb) maybe even include the 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 in there. (headbang)

separating the subforums into sections that separate 3rd gens from each other would organize things.
first thing that does come to mind is engine (ie. 1.6, 1.8, 2.0)

Looks great. I think that will work wonders and make everything much easier. Plus, it'll help take away some of the confusion when someone mentions "Help me with my 3rd Gen sedan". All we would have to do is ask which engine type he/she may have and then send them to the appropriate mini-forum (if it deals with engine performance) or regular sub-forum. Very good Antoine! You've outdone yourself again!!

Well I think it's pretty clear...SUB-FORUMS are GO!
Now once I setup everything...someone is going to have to move all the recent threads into their respective sub-forum. I see that the 3rd Gen forum only has one Mod and could definitely use more assistance. I'll be conducting a search for 1 or possibly a couple Mods to really get this forum more active :D

Is a good idea for "Engine Specific" ideas and question but I still think there should be a "General" section because there is alot of things there that are still universal.

^ I totally agree with Brian
the engine sub-forum would definitely organize tihngs but at the same time breaking up the universal sections would duplicate sections (ie. appearance, audio).

I don't thing theres enough traffic to justify sub forums...but thats just me. I mean, why should I open four forums to read the same seven posts that would have originally been in one forum.

^ agree. the only things I see that need to be broken are the engine displacement and rims/tires sections. other sections are universal with other 99-03 proteges.

1. Sub-Forums...IF USED...can contribute to increasing traffic
2. I anticipate there WILL be more traffic and therefore the need for sub-forums
3. From this point...keeping the forum more organized will prove beneficial in the future

They may be universal but do you guys actually use the Main forums for audio, appearance etc?

It's okay, but now I'll have to wander through both the sub's and the "old" sections to find items of interest. Before I just had to look in each spot and filter out the things that don't apply to my car.

But now you won't have to filter through all the threads that don't apply to your car! Assuming of course people post their threads in the right forums and sub-forums.
