Hi everyone,

I have a 2002 mazda protege 5, While i was doing a brake job on it i noticed that the hub bolt is very large. Actually larger than any socket i currently have. I bought a impact socket set & the largest socket it had was 24mm which was way to small. I dont want to go out and spend a fortune on a impact socket set, so I figure I'll just go buy the individual socket. Does anyone know the size of socket i should buy for the hub? (1 1/8, 1 1/4, 1 1/16, 27mm, 30mm, 32mm.....etc) .Please feel free to mention any other large sizes that I should pick up just in case in the future, i work on the axle or whatever may come my way. Thank you

my 1st gen is 32mm. get a good pry bar and a small 4lb mini sledge.

did you use the prybar/sledghammer to remove the hub. I was thinking of trying my impact wrench= 260lb torque
