From member Robot#666 (http://www.msprotege.com/forum/private.php?do=newpm&u=17321)

I would like to add the Mazdaspeed Protege to my
current product line. I am the owner and fabricator of
www.GroundzPerformance.com (http://www.groundzperformance.com/) I make custom parts for a
few different cars, Miata, MX6, 626, Probe GT, Mustang
Cobra, BMW 325i and Honda Civic.

I need someone that has a Mazdaspeed Protege in
Southern California that's willing to let me take a
few mesurements on there car. It should only take me
an hour or 2 to get what measurements I'll need. I
plan to make front and rear Strut Tower Bars, front
and rear Adjustable Swaybar Endlinks, Engine Grounding
kits, and rear swaybars. Whoever would like to let me
do this will be rewarded for there time. I'll let you
have one of the products I'll be making, (your
choice), and you'll recieve 15% off the entier product
line for as long as you own your car. I live in
Pasadena CA, so whoever is closer to me would be
better. I will come to your place to take the
measurements as well.

Whoever is interested please post here.

I intend to obtain AMM status once I have products for
sale for the MSP/Protege.

thank you,

Rob Sims

I'm in El Cajon, CA with a Titanium Mazdaspeed Protege - an eastern section of San Diego county. Zip code 92019 if you want to search it on Mapquest or something. Reply here or email me at Ricedice@hotmail.com if you want to get together.

I sent you a PM  My fiance works at the Trader Joes over there in Eagle Rock :D

As far as the Mazdaspeed Protege is concerned does it share the same parts with the other Protoge's?, (minus the turbo of course).

Cool for a SoCal owner!

It will be cool for all of you once I have parts available. I have very good prices, I'm down to help out fellow tuners not jack prices like some other companies out there.

Where in Mississippi do you live? My Uncle lives in Gautier.

robot#666, please look at this thread. it would be really cool if you could make one that has excellent fit and finish. I dont think there is anything on the MSP that is different from the non-MSP engine bay so it should bolt right up. If you could, make a relocation bracket for those of us with cruise control. let me know please. thanks. http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=98224&highlight=strut+bar

vindication

it'll be the same. only thing that will differ from the cars is that the rear swaybar endlinks from the P5 to the sedans is the length of them.

I saw that already thanks, anything that needs to be relocated will get the proper bracket to do so.

Hey let us know when the adjustable front swaybar links come out. Also if you have any ideas/tips/products for some of us drag racers don't hesitate to let us know. Traction is getting hard to come by, lol.

anyone know the rear swaybar diamiter for the MS Protege? Let me know and I'll have the cure you've all been waiting for :D

I also got most of the measurments today from Matt's MS Protege.

I'm going to be makeing these parts first;

* front & rear swaybar endlinks, (your stock ones are a joke, very weak).
* front dual bar strut tower bar, (as you already know the stock is a joke).
* intercooler sprayer
* engine grounding kit,

more to come later. All but the STB are available now, (PM me if interested)

thanks again Matt for letting me use your car, I'll be calling again to do more in a few weeks

the intercooler sprayer I make will work on any car it's universal. It's on my web page already. I'm going to go ahead, everyone i've talked to says it's 20mm so in a few weeks you guys are going to have new polyurethane rear swaybar bushings, wich should solve the problem I keep hearing about. BTW, I make everything to order so I don't end up having a bunch of stuff that is'nt selling in my garage, I just don't have the space right now.

would like to get a little more info on the sprayer. your website only shows a small pick of it. no install info or complete setup pic or anything. can that be updated or maybe post more detailed info (including price) on this forum (after av status of course). also interested in front strut bar (msp) and endlinks.

did you click on the pic it's a video clip actually. Each sprayer has it's own adjustable pressure dial. They were all set low when it was taken. Being that it is universal I can't really do an install page for it. I'll take some pics of it installed on my Probe if that's cool with you? you run your wiper fluid line from the pump to the IC Sprayer. The IC Sprayer can be mounted a number of ways it's very simple actually. I noticed a 5 degree drop in heat when using it on my radiator, on an IC wich is smaller then a radiator it works even better.

If you need more info please feel free to PM me with any questions you might have, I'll be happy to answer them.

Prices are on the order page. As for prices on the MSP parts I'm making PM me for those till my page is updated.

thank you,

yeah, pic isn't producing any vid when i clicked on it. i'll try on my home pc when i get to it. about the sprayer hooking up to the wiper fluid line, does that mean the wiper sprayer is completely disabled? or would it be "T'd" and they would both work at the same time?

I'd do that but your in NY I'm in CA. too much money in shipping back and forth. I'll let you know once they are ready. I'll be testing those on Matt's MSP later. Tractions bars, Ladder bar, Lateral Arm bars, Rear V bar, will be made later down the line.

I've never carred for the windshield spayer it always made the window even dirtier in my opinion. So if you hook the IC Sprayer up then you will no longer have the sprayer for the windshield. You can always switch lines. When your racing hook up the IC line, when your just daily driving hook up the other. I just checked the link is'nt hooked up at the moment. I'll try to get my friend to fix that. sorry about that.

for the endlinks, PLEASE tell me you are not using that race-rod endlink design that all the probe guys are using, i ended up putting a set on my SE when i did the front control arms, and they rattle like no-tomorow... can't wait to see what you've come up with, always good to have another vender aboard (thumb), and your ideas for the products are already starting out very nicely :D...

that would be a very far drive and not worth the shipping either. Don't worry I have a MSP I can use for measurements. But thank you for the generous offer.

Have you seen the ones on my site? They will be simmalr to those, I've had mine for a year now and no rattling at all. The hiem joints I use are stiff and not loose like the ones sold at hardware stores. They do not rattle if they did I would'nt sell them. I know b4 I started selling them there were some cheap ones that were being made for BB's on PT. If you go to PT I have the same UN there, check my vendor support you'll see that I don't sell junk.

hrm... i trust you, and sorry if i came off as implying you were selling junk, that wasn't my intention, nor my thought... i'll probably order a set from you anyway (i'll go check out pricing on your site in a minute) just to see what they are like, hell if yours are better than the ones i have on the probe i'll order a set for it and and quit my search for a good set of stockers (parts stores dont seem to have them anymore...)... then i'll sell my heim joints on PT cus they seem to like the clunkyness for whatever reason :p...

cool, I don't have the prices up for the MSP parts yet. If you have'nt looked there yet the MSP front swaybar endlinks are 11 1/2 inches long (wow) and the rear swaybar endlinks are 8 1/2 inches long that's ridiculous if you ask me those things are asking to bend and break probably faster then the stockers on our Probes. They will mostlikely be "allmost" twice as much as the Probe endlinks. I'll try to give everyone here the best price I can. I've looked at a few sites and PERRIN Performance is the only ones that have them, (not yet but they say they have them), they want $139.99 just for a front set for the WRX and those are half the size of the MSP. I should be able to do front and rear as a set for that much. If you buy a set for the Probe and for your MSP I'll hook you up a really good deal.

Robot#666 You need AMM or AV status (http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=54156) BEFORE you start listing prices and taking orders! This thread will be closed until vendor status is obtained.

If I do not receive a PM or e-mail soon I will edit the prices and contact info from this thread.
