Well, I had 48000 miles, clutch was dying, rear end squeaks returning again, huge windshield crack, braking thump, horrible stuttering (probably clutch related) and some odd buzzing coming from the tires. But I still loved the car. The MSP is a BLAST to drive. Funnest car ever, so quirky and unique. However, it was not making financial sense to me because of the future maintenance needed on it.
The dealership offered me 14,500. Crazy considering the mileage. They bought my mods off of me. My car on emunds should only be worth 13,000. I got all my money back and I ended up not being in the hole at all. In its place I leased a:
Mazda 3 SP23.
Not as fast, doesn't handle as well, and not orange.
However, sexy unique tail lights, navigation system, Xenon lights, leather seats, and bose sound system. The tradeoff was fair in my opinion. More driveability and luxury for less performance with the same payment.
I was just doing what I felt I had to do because of my financial situation, so for that reason, goodbye MSP, this forum is pretty awesome and I will check back here to see whats up.
