Fuel Filter Question

Hi everyone, just wondering if the '99 proteges 1.6L had a fuel filter, because i just called 2 dealerships and they told me that it didn't have one

Sorry, don't know anything about that motor. Only the 2.0. I know my motor only has a fuel filter right at the tank.

The filter is apart of the fuel pump is a little screen thing. The guys at auto zone say its not serviceable because its apart of the fuel pump
