So, I was driving my car to Lake George, and around 70ish, i noticed my car was shaking a lil more than it should. TO make sure i wasn't just imagining it...i took it to 80...where i noticed my head unit was shaking, which i've never noticed before...so i pushed it to 90 where my car felt like it was about to shake apart. Now, i've had no problem like this before, and i threw my car into netural at those speeds and there was still shaking....so i'm thinking maybe an alignment problem? (althought the car goes pretty stright still) I also used that spray shit that fixes flats...i dunno if whatever goes into the tire can throw off the weight of the tire. But yea, i really don't know whats going on, and i don't want to take it to pep boys casue they always find something really bad wrong.

that spray shit is only temporary, get the tire replaced and then see if the problem continues.

sounds like Alingnment to me..check your wheels see if the lugs are tight enough.

also check your Wheels hopefully they are not bent

youre not supposed to go over 70 with the tire shit. get that shit fixed and your wheels balanced and you should be good.

Actually, an alignment problem would just cause a pull to one side. Off-balance or a bent rim would be a shimmy, and cause your car to shake it's moneymaker.

Did someone say bent rim?

alignment will not fix vibration. an alignment lines up the tires/wheels in relation to the vehicle axis'. bent rim, wheel(s) out of balance, low air pressure, objects other than air IN a tire(fix-a-flat,water), and uneven tire wear(caused by misalignment) are the most common cause of vibration at highway speeds. vibration at lower speeds may be caused by a broken belt in the tire, but usually dissapates at higher speeds. the fix-a-flat is most likely the problem. replace the tire and have the others balanced and you should be good to go.
