Can anyone tell me where this goes? (pics)

I have a 1999 LX 1.6L engine.
I came across this loose connector in the engine bay. Anyone with a 1.6L please take a peek at your engine and tell me where this wire is connected on yours. It's also showing: Bank 1 too lean code on the ecu. Maybe the mechanic I went to yesterday disconnected this purposely to earn some extra cash.

^^^^notice the metal bracket in the picture above. Could it be a base for something the wire connects to??

i have lx, with cruise, ac, and all the other bullshit they come with.. that connector does not plug in anywhere, it is prolly for california emmisiions bull shit..

that code u threw is sayin u need a MAF sensor or Upper o2 sensor.. i would put my money on the MAF.. Do you have a aftermarket intake?

I concur. CAI is kryptonite with our engine.

once goldpro sends me an adapter i will be testing it and will post a how to on how to get cold air to work on our cars, with the credit going to gold pro..

I remember that loose plug when I had my 1.6, it didn't plug into anything on mine either.

thanks for everyone's help.. I had thought that this connector was somehow related to my ecu code. Just for the record.. I do have a/c and c.c. options on my LX.

well mine is conected too as i seee and i have a cai and have no problem ever since a installed it it has been there for like a year and half and i bought a 2.0L one and just cut out from the stock box the sensor place and put it togother and it is working great!!
