hubcentric rings

hey just a quick question
i've got my rims on but now when i go about 55 and up the steering wheel shakes alot and it feels like the front tires are wobbling my question is would hub centric rings help this? i just had an alignment done and the rims/tires are brand new plus i think i read somewhere that when you have those "universal" rims you need the rings is this true?
oh yeah the rims are katana VR-6 if this helps any

Did you get the wheels balanced, or just get an alignment? When you put on new tires or new wheels, you need to get the wheel & tire combination balanced or it will do exactly what you're describing.

the company i bought them from said they were balanced maybe i'll just take em in and have em checked
