That's because the M/T doesn't require flushing. Just run the car to heat up the M/T oil so that it flows freely, remove the drain and fill plugs and let it empty. Reinstall the drain plug and refill with fresh oil.

i've found it's easiest to do the MT drain/fill with one person below the car and one above.
Unscrew the very bottom-most bolt in the transmission just as you would your engine oil. This will drain the fluid out. After it's done dripping plug it back up snugly, don't overtighten. Have a friend up top pass you down a rubber hose which you will insert into the "fill hole" on about the middle of the tranny case. (looks just like the drain plug only it's on the side and higher up). Stick the hose into the fill hole and have your friend up top put a funnel into the hose. Add fluid until it starts to come out of the hole. A "full" reading is easily achieved by overfilling the case and letting it spill out until it stops. Then screw the plug back in. Not real scientific but you can't go wrong doing it this way.

a manual tranny flush isnt like an auto tranny flush. Like stated befor, there should be two plugs on your transmisson, one on the top or side and one on the bottom, open the one on the bottom and drain out your fluid, then open the one on the side and close the one on the bottom. When the fluid starts to run out of the hole on the side, its full, wipe it clean and close the side plug. Viola your done.
Not that it needs to be done often on a manual tranny since its a closed gearbox, meaning you dont add fluid to it on a regular basis like you would in an auto.

Does anyone know the size of this bolt? My metric socket set stops at 22mm and it's bigger than that, a 15/16" wrench seems to fit on but I don't have a socket that size and can't apply enough torque with the wrench.

Both the drain and fill plugs take a 23 mm wrench.

w00t I got it done... doesn't feel any different going from the pure black assumed original gear oil to the new Redline MT90, at least I haven't noticed anything.

The best fluid you can run in the 5 speeds is BG synchroshift 2, do not confuse this fluid the GM syncrhoshift, or pennzoil synchro. BG has taken care of the mitsubishi eclipse and 3000GT transmission problems just by changing the fluid. and using the LS2 additives. i changed the fluid in my msp and freed up some power. the company also offers a coverage on your transmission if you get it done before 60,000 miles. (change to their fluid), when i changed mine, i knocked .6 seconds on my 1/4 mile time at Heartland park. and i also picked up
some well needed fuel milage. www.bgprod.com
Redline transmission fluid is great also. Also if you like slamming the gears alot, I suggest you should get a transmission cooler along with different tranny fluid.
on the side note...
shaved off .6 seconds just by changing the tranny fluid? I really doubt that. When I had my header put on I shaved off only .3 seconds (before header running 16.3, and after header instalation ran 16.03) There's no way that just fluid would do that, you're talking about some good amount of horsepower added to the car (1-2 psi of boost) which would lower your 1/4 mile time by .6 seconds.......
