umm, I've got an 04 msm. No running lights over here. ...or BOV, those don't make you go faster ;)

I'm not completely sure of the air metering method on the MSMs, but if it's like the rest of Mazda's vehicles where the MAF is between the air box and turbocharger, installing a BOV (vs. a bypass valve) could cause drivability issues.
If that means nothing to you, just pick a BOV and install it. To the majority of performance minded Miata owners, the sound means nothing :) .

I have the turbo xs rfl bov on my msm and it blows off to atmosphere. I'm not happy with it at all because it causes driveability issues due to that reason. It causes bogging between shifts and I'm sure it hurts accelaration also. After some research, I'm decided to get rid of it and try this:http://www.gofastbits.com.au/index.php?parentid=products&option=products&sub_option=bovs&sub_sub_option=hybrid
It's a hybrid bov that recirculates and blows off, therefore not causing these issues to occur. You also have the option of 100% atmosphere or 100% recirculate by changing a couple of fittings. It's the best of both worlds, and think it's the best solution if you want the bov sound.

Wow! That's a lot of money for some noise ;) .

I love my quiet RX-7 BOV. It's recirculated to the intake after the MAF, and before the turbo. No drivability issue here. It's sneaky :D
Canada MX-5s have DRLs
If I got a MSM, i'd take off the MSM badge. i like the whole stealth thing :)
