SPOOL FMIC Pipes... Aluminum or SS???

Are the IC pipes on the SPOOL FMIC kit Aluminum or Steel? I know they closed and I'm having a biatch of a time answering this question. I believe the stock IC hard pipes were stainless steel, but I have no idea what they used for the fmic kit.... INFO PLEASE.

ive seen one of there kits but i dont really like the build quality and the core has square end tanks which is not as good as the round end tanks.

I actually just won an auction on ebay for it... used of course, but I got it for $305 shipped! I was actually in the process of piecing my own kit together. I basically wanted to use all of the best parts and do it for a couple hundred dollars cheaper. -- Bar & plate IC, polished aluminum (not SS) pipes, Silicone couplers, T-clamps.
Anyways, I saw this kit and for the price, I'll probably use the pipes for mock-up and then sell the kit. I have a good friend in Alabama that just got a yellow 03.5. I'll probably sell it to him or on the forum.

How do you like your kit? Pros, Cons.

The seller totally sucked at advertising.....
His title read "Frront Mount Intercooler NR" and yes there was two "r's"
He didn't even mention Spool, Mazdaspeed, Mazda in his title. I lucked out by opening it and I shat myself when I read the description and saw the pic. Right place/right time. (rockon)

FSDET, $200 would have just been plain ridiculous. Even what I paid is too damn low. If the seller would have just put the word "mazdaspeed" in the title this kit would have gone for $500 easy.

To my credit, I did happen to stumble upon this auction before reading the link in the forum on this auction. As soon as I saw the auction, I came to the forum to do my homework. I have love for fellow members. If my friend doesn't take it, I'll offer it for a badass price here. Peace.

nah, i'm just messin, i wanna go custom anyways. i'm the guy that bid 200. if i did get it, i would have been hesitant to cut the piping. terry's welder is freaking badass and i would feel like i was destroying a piece of art. the core is too small for my taste. once my exhaust is done... custom fmic time.

good luck with that fmic. spool was badass and always will be badass. i loved that company and their products. for their time, they made some of the best products for the protege.
