If I was to produce a turbo kit for the 1st gen BP1.8 what kind of interest is their? WOuld you want something similar to my Revised Sleeper or something that is more budget? The testbed car will be a 92 Protege.

something more budget would probably be more in lines with first gen people. not neccesarily a huge turbo, maybe a 200 whp kit or so, with all fittings, fmic etc, but if possible without the need for stand alone. the stock ecu can control up to 10 psi IIRC

If I were you i'd start off by making a manifold and seeing how it sells, 1st gen guys make it hard to make parts for lol. I was gonna make a couple manifolds this sumemr but I may put off and just do stuff for honda guys, I need to make some cash.

But a nice ramhorn maybe with and ext w/g optional would be a cool part you may sell.

The ram horn manifolds are $1095.I don't feel theirs enough interest from the 1-2nd Gen guys to come out with a high end all out race header. If i do a turbo kit it will use a log manifold, unless theirs enough 1-2nd Gen guys that want the best that money can buy.If this is the case I will make a tubular manifold.
The turbo kit will be come with the following
Manifold
T3/T4E
2.5 or 3" downpipe
Front mount intercooler
Greddy Type S BOV
silicone,etc

Would be interested in seeing a kit put together....

FMIC's are always a fun job to route the pipes and get proper fitment.... other than that, it would be nice to see a turbo kit put together...

any progress?

I was thinking about it the other day, and I wanted to do something different than the usual GTX turbo for my 323.... IF this kit was made, I'd be interested in sporting it.

Hell yeah, I was just thinking of a turbo kit for my 1st gen. I really don't want to do a GTR/GTX swap, if possible. But, I would like the kit to be budget.

I'll probably be getting me a DOHC soon, so yeah...

Besides, my 1st gen is going to be my race car.

I found here in Panama (central america) the BPT engine with tranny(4wd) and the ECU for only $900 box, my question is again, I can use the same wiring of my original BP???, since the new engine does not bring the turbo wiring

AZDriftR

most likely not. and you wont be able to use that 4wd tranny. i would sell that and get you an ECU.
