So today i tried putting in the second awr motor mount(firewall) since its been sitting in its box for nearly 3 months and as usual i ran into a problem. in order to get to the bolts on the mount you have to move a wire harness out of the way. Sounds easy but the genious designers put a nut that holds the harness bracket on in a place where no human fingers can reach. the damn nut is directly over top the stock mount and on the underside of the harness bracket thereby not allowing you see it let alone put a damn socket on it to take it off. i tried using a swivel joint and extensions but with the limited space my fingers just couldnt fit to put the socket on.......I'm pissed. i even called awr and they referred me to another plae for help. the best suggestion i got was to cut the bracket off. Id do it if i had something small enough to fit down there and cut off the bracket but for now i'm stuck....without a paddle up shits creek. What a bitch this is. i guess if i was willing enough i should have taken off the throttle body for more arm space but f-that. i really don't want to pay to have it put on. any suggestions...anybody.....anybody.

Dude, there is a how-to for the rear motor mount. Yeah, that thing sucks pretty bad, but I was able to do it with the help of the how-to, and a friend. I used a 7" or whatever length wrench the how-to says, attacked it from under the car. My friend pulled the top part of the bracket off the top stud, and rotated it which helped get the little wrench in there too.

I used a deep socket and a ratchet. It's a real PITA. That was the worst part of the install, and the nut did not get replaced. Or was it a short 1/4" 10mm and an extension...it was a long time ago and it's something I try to forget....
Oh, and ALWAYS check around the board for info and how-to's. That will prepare you a little better...

I didnt really think about a how-to. but like you said "my friend", it was just me and all my good friends live a ways away. bummer.

i just broke the bracket/clip holding it. i got so mad at it i just said fuck it! then i put the mount in, went to Home depot and got a small metal pipe hanger and screwed that in to mount the wiring harness up to the firewall
