What do I do next? I've had my car for not even 2 months and already sank $2500 of parts into it.
You can see in my sig what I have and what's on order.
What should be my next purchase?
i'm debating on doing some work on my intake manifold and throttle body.
I'm not really looking for more boost.
any suggestions?

I am using the a lot of the money that I would mod my car with and putting it into tools. I am going to try and get as much out of my car without raising the boost. Next on the list is P/P jobs on the head and IM.

^^that's a good idea, but i can't have downtime. i'll do the intake manifold but not the head.
and word on dsm's afc? is everything preset or do i set them like a safc?

Beau's products are the best out there. The reason I want to do my engine build is for practice so I can continue to do it on other cars down the road. I want to put the money into tools also.

you know that's not a bad idea. but i'm not going to up the boost so i won't get the full benefit out of it.
also if it was $875 i'm not going to pay almost $1100 for it now

sure... like any mod, most rahter, you up the boost youll get more results.. im just saying i think youd find more broad range bene's then going the route of head etc...

I'm sure Beau would give you a deal on the mani if you could get a few people who want to order it. The price is probably $1100 because it is not an easy piece to make and SS is expensive.

if he would give it to me for $875 i would order it in a few weeks when i had the cash

I would, but all I have to do is open up my hood to see a MAM tubular mani(headbang) I would definately recommend it for show and/or performance.

he dosen't have a FMIC,he has the turbohoses SMIC,and thier hardpipes.hour install if you move real slow.

BTW jurgs01,I think your exhaust mani is leaking at the flange onto the head.I think I see soot in those pics

Work on intake mani is free so why not. Remove VTCS and try to match the runners to the head.

Might as well do the TB coolant bypass mod. I also got thermal spacers while I was at it. Not something the butt dyno can discern, but I think every little bit helps, especially when it doesn't cost anything.

That's a good catch. At the time I took those pictures it was leaking. I noticed a ticking sound and saw the soot and loosened everything and tightened it back up a while ago. I had done a quick job tightening at the time because I knew I hadn't bought enough SS bolts and had to use a few of those crappy stock ones (and I didn't want to over-torque and break on of those rusty bolts off). I have all SS bolts in there now.

Oh, and I do have the turbohoses SMIC.

There's already a lot of info on it including a how-to. Do a search.

The stock hose clamps are terrible. I am still not finished though. Hard to find the time. I just went to the hardware store and bought a ton of assorted size SS camps.
