Not the illegal kind.
I will be putting a Quaife LSD and a stronger P5 tranny (after Feb, 02) in the car while changing the clutch - All of this is in prep. for the upcoming MAM turbo kit.
I will let you know how it drives after the install. All I need now is the money for Beau to build me an engine so I can put some nice BOOST on my baby.

About 1500 bucks. They are a little hard to get ahold of though.

I couldn't find it.
Is it a Quaife? The Quaife unit is pretty strong.

You could get the Togichi limited slip (the Mazdaspeed one) and weld the case so that it is physically stronger.
However, if I had the cash, I'd go Quaiffe too.

Call corksport. The cases on the LSD's have been updated. I got mine just recently from them for about 430 shipped.

IMO it's not a smart idea to weld the MSP LSD to the ring gear.Keep inmind that welding cast iron requires alot of attention to detail to weld. And with the already tight back lash and gear mess in the tranny their is no room for slight warpage from welding it up.
The Quaife is the best LSD on the market for the Protege.

^Agreed, also there lifetime warranty(even if raced) and the no break in needed make it that much more tempting.
