so incase anyone doesn't know by now, you can now buy MSP's in the US now. there was (i think it's been sold) an orange one ad D Dahle Mazda in Salt lake city, Utah.

i had the opportunity to drive the orange MSP. if you want handling you guys are DEFINATELY not going to be dissapointed... the suspension just flat out rocks. i was driving the car with a friend (who used to own a type-r) and he was blown away by how close it came in handling to the ITR. i personally was kinda dissapointed in the engine's total output, although i do drive a chipped 1.8t currently, so that could be why. i did like the very linear powerband.

things i didn't like - the seats blow. they look supportave but are made out of a squishy material you sink into too much. the radio didn't sound too good, but i didn't try listening to a CD so i'll try a CD and get back to you on the quality of the deck. the sub was nicely integrated, trunk was pretty big... all in all it's a damn nice package. my decision between the MSP and the ITR just got alot harder.

hmm, the msp slalom is higher than the itr. According to SCC, the msp is now the king of fwd even if the type R is available now.

woah there mag racer =) ... i still think the ITR handles better overall, theres more to the handling equation then skidpad and slalom numbers.

haha, right now i am a mag racer because i haven't driven the msp. I just sat in one.

I do have a black itr though.

right now, my itr has koni yellows all around on prokit so when i test drive the msp, it still won't be fair.

if i were you, i wouldn't buy an MSP unless you need more room and the 4 doors.

the b18c5 is a nice engine. I have aem cai, jdm 4-1 headers, comptech exhaust and straight pipe and the car takes off but I have been running into problems with it lately and I don't want to hassle with it.

i'd try to find a replacement ITR if i were you. the decision is hard for me between the ITR and MSP, but i'm still leaning ITR personally.

Good luck finding an ITR for the same price as an MSP. They are possibly the most overpriced (and potentially abused) used cars on the market today.

My old MX-3 seriously outhandled my friend's Integra GS-R. I have a feeling the MSP/ITR difference would be similar.
