Help For Ipod Install??

I'm a newb here and I don't own a mazda, but my girlfriend just got a 1995 Mazda Protege from her father.
The stock head unit has been replaced with a Sony CD player, so there's no way to use a cassette adapter for an Ipod.
Does anyone have any DIY's for an Ipod installation? I've seen those adapters that cost nearly $200, but I think that's bit too much!
Any help will be appreciated.

I have, but FM modulators are so horrible. There's just way too much noise.
