Save your money and do both at once. Exhaust first if you have to choose.

I think it is unanimous that exhaust would be the best first mod. On our cars, it is the part that is most restrictive to flow.

I guess it also depends on where you live (ie. how hot or cold the place is). I think the exhaust may give better gains than the FMIC, but I just think it's better to get the FMIC first. This is just a bias I guess since it's what I've done. But my 3" iON TBE will be arriving soon :)

definitely exhaust first. there will be a much greater gain from that then from doingt the fmic mod (when done individually) .

ive heard they make good productions... but i ve heard they can be "shady" how was you exp. i was tlaking to Ion direct for a while.. but... did you pay 1600 or so for your exhaust?

iON is in no way, shape, or form "shady". They are a reputable company. The main difference is that the time between when iON used to announce their product sales and when the products would be available may be longer than other manufacturers - mainly because they want to make sure they have buyers. I have no trouble with that at all. I got my FMIC from them 1 week after they received my money. On the other hand I'll have to wait longer for the 3" TBE, because the current batch is in an earlier stage of production. I hate to open a can of worms, but I think their absence from this forum is a loss. If you're interested in their products contact them directly. Oh, and yes it's expensive and custom is cheaper. But we all have preferences :)

hazeXban, when did you receive yours? Any pics? I can't wait for mine! BTW, I think their system is easily still the best there is for the MSP.

be careful, custom is not always cheaper...it usually works out to be about the same if not more expensive cause it's a one-off job. i'd go with GHL's turboback or at least their downpipe and the a custom catback.

True....I know many ppl go custom but personally I'll probably never do it. I don't mind paying for the quality at all. And if I don't have the money to pay for the quality, I'll just appreciate the product instead of bash it.

I'm with striker on this one, as I too have the GHL dp. That alone is sweet. I can't wait to remove the stock cat-back. I'll eventually have a complete 3" that I hope to pay in total ~850.

Since you're in PA I'd say you'd more enjoy the exhaust, unless you'd prefer that gangsta grin of a FMIC.
