Well guys the 2nd MSP to have this kit is rollin the streets. The kit took me and Lara about 10hrs to install. The fitment is tight, and any slight alteration or shift will pretty much get the whole kit outa whak.
The front mount wheighs about 25-30lbs and is exelent quality, the best I have ever seen. The pipes come powdercoated to a showroom shine, mandrell bent, with exelent looking welds.
We started the install knowing there would be no instructions due to the newness of the kit, but we have installed several turbo kits, and we knew we could handle the task at hand. Since every car is different in some ways to others, we knew the kit would deviate on the install to the original test car.
Finally after 10 hrs and alot of cut fingers, lost tempers, a little patience, and some persistence, we got it in. I had to cut some of the plastic around the foglight hole for the fitment that I wanted and for clearance of the fmic pipes, but that was ok cause the MSP lip covers the majority so you cant see the cuts. I wanted then to be able to have a little movement because Lara doesnt have MM yet. This was the hardest part of the install for us. It took us about 4 hrs taking the front bumper on and off checking fitment.
Next came the new slimline fans that came with the kit due to the reduced space for the new pipes.. These things are BADASS and look hella better than the stockers. The radiator cooling fan will go semi-center on the radiator, and the A/C radiator fan will go in front of the car behind the grill, and the front bumper. This is a better location for the A/C fan so dont worry.
Lara will be running a dual BOV/BPV setup, soo the plumbing came next followed by the vacume lines. The car sounds amazing!!!!
Overall, ill give the install a 4 out of 5 in difficulty, but well worth it in the end. I dont recommend the kit for begginers, or for people afraid to do some cutting, and fitting to their car. But after you are done, if you do it right, the kit looks like it should have com there from factory. All of the mouldings, mounts, splash guards, and the air deflector will be on and in use again.
Ill have pics of the kit on Sun. We will be headded to HIN in a few.

Also, we took the Stock FMIC completely out of the car, and I made a custom mount for the radiator in that side.
Here sre some pics of the car apart, and the front of the finished product.

Prob about 12-15 psi. Thats what the high boost setting is set on the Unichip.

And it was pretty tough without the full instructions, and it was my and my friends 1st time installing a FMIC but we got after about 15 hours because we had to remount the core. But defintly well worth it! By the way Ghost i remember you on clubrsx a lot. My brother has an Type S (Apexitypes).

Guys,
when you upgrade the intercooler with a front mount one, let's say a mental addiction one, they offer you a BOV to insert ih the hard pipes.
Now, does their kit eliminate the stock BPV?
DO any of those intercooler setup eliminates the BPV or they are engineered to use both the BPV and BOV?
If they eliminate bpv, one you install the all system, do you have to do some tuning on the BOV or everything is pretuned and ready to plug and play?
Thanks and sorry for the questions, but there too many options and I a bit confused.

The Mental Addiction kit comes standard with a BoostSciences BPV, but for an extra 200 bucks you can add an HKS SSQV to the kit giving you the BOV/BPV setup. If you get just the BPV, then it is plug and play... if you get the BOV/BPV setup then you *might* have to do some adjusting to the BOV to get it perfect for your car. This is super easy though, and shouldn't concern you at all... if you can turn a wrench then you can adjust the BOV to your liking.

From what i understand it will have a place where you can insert the bov in the piping, right?
It is proven to work in any MSP without causing stalling, esitation, and such?
Thanks for all your help,

Both setups will work without stalling and hesitation, and yes the piping will come already set up for the BOV and/or BPV.

ou can get it with, or without a BOV. the BPV will be in every one (unless Beau is doing some cutom ones as well for people)
if you want a BOV, then Beau will put on the flange for you and provide the BOV. if you want a different BOV than the HKS SSQ, then he can do it, but it will take more time, and you'll either need to purchase the BOV from Beau or provide the flange. it has to be welded on before the piping goes to the coater.
if you just want to run the BPV, then there is no problem with any flange.

Thanks a lot.
I had some confusion due to the many options.
Once evrything is installed, do you need to tune the car or no?
thanks again

Haha, if you haven't tuned your MSP yet, then it needs to be tuned regardless of the FMIC kit.:p MSP isn't exactly the posterchild of ideal factory tuning. (sssh)

You can also do it without a BPV ... but oyu have to get a BOV that can be recirculated in your intake ... that's what i have. no stalling and no "turkey"

Does this work with the injen CAI? cause from the pics on the website it looks like pipe goes through the fender well.

You can tune it with several different EMS solutions. MPI is what I use on my car, Haltech works good, AEM is up and running, DSM convert offers a AFC and is about to release a fuel and timing controller, unichip is available, so you have a lot of options depending on your needs, setup, and wallet size.:)
As far as it working fine, that is about as far as you can stretch it (being nice even). It will run pig rich, and then lean out up top. It definitely is not tuned ideally. You will see after you run it for longer than 2 days.;)

It will not work with the injen. Even my modified injen SRI wouldn't quite fit, and I have it shortened down as far as it can go. You need the intake pipe that comes with the kit.
