View Full Version : new turbo, thank mazda

a few weeks later and i finally had time to take it in. posted a few weeks ago but no one seemed to have any suggestions. turbo was whining at idle, sounded like a bad belt but was definately the turbo, oil starvation. took it in and the dude was like, yep, new turbo for you! gave me a jeep liberty and off i went.

my friend is bone stock and had oil starvation. they gave him a MSM turbo supposidly and now he runs 10 psi without mods. (this is what he told me) think it's true?

no i have always gone to this dealer and the mazda tech is cool as shit. he siad just bring it to him and he wont say anything. i just had it in a little bit ago and he everything in my tranny!!

sickspeed-i doubt your friend got the msm turbo because i specifically asked the tech if there was a difference between the two and he said they are two different units made by two different companies?

very possible. those people are idiots.

i had the same problem with my MSP when I had. thus the reason i don't have it anymore.

I dont think the msm turbo is even ball bearing............i would rather have the turbo from the msp then the msm..........

but he plans to keep his car pretty stock, so now he's warrantied and at 10 PSi, all he needs is like a bolton exhaust and oh sorry he has an injen. so he's cool to run like high 14's (based on the fact that i want 15.234 on stock boost with injen and exhaust and i could have done better.)
