Hi everyone,
Can't believe my cool new Mazda3 has turned me into a car buff, but it has!
This weekend will see 2500 on the odemeter. We drove to North. Calif. last weekend...1100 mile trip and it performed beautifully.
I'm kinda new at this forum / posting business (not real techie, you see) but it seems a great place to learn more about the car and associate with other 3 owners. Mine is a 5 dr 2.3, moonroof, Bose 6 disc, auto, 17" wheels, black leather, sunlight silver. I try to get a pix later.
Happy Friday!
Sorry you got the automatic, otherwise, great choice of a vehicle. The 5 door is a very versatile layout, me and the wife love ours.
P.S. Welcome!

No regrets on choosing the auto, though I do know the manual woulda had a little more ooomph. Frankly, I just get tired of the ol' clutch routine, but this new tranny is just right for me, as I drive it in the manual mode virtually all the time (and my wife would never drive it if it were manual.
Thanks for the welcome...

Hey, I have a brother in Richmond! (Midlothian) He got on me bout the automatic, too. So did most of my surfing buddies, but they really like the car.
Thanks for the welcome!

When I met my wife, she couldn't drive a stick either. Now that I've taught her (and that's been 6 odd years ago), she won't drive an automatic equipped vehicle unless she has to. Ever given any thought to teaching your wife?

She does know how to drive a manual but she prefers auto. I wanted to encourage her to drive the 3, and since it was not a big issue for me, I elected to go auto so she wouldn't feel excluded.
