No I am sorry. MSP's are slightly larger. I will see if they have sets of two for the dx.

Shipping quotes are on the way.

Who is your supplier?

eBay has these listed for cheaper:

Not sure the shipping for us, but Ebay s/h = $47.00

The total cost would be the same if not cheaper. Good find.
Damn it seems you can get just about anything cheap on Ebay these days!
And yes they look very close.... I will look into it.

EDIT - come from same distributor. Price shown is without optional Cadmium coating. The coating is $50/set (from what I remember during our convo on the phone).

that is still cheaper.. 219+47 = 266 shipped

RX
04-08-2005, 04:18 PM
219 + 47 = 266
266 - 250 = 16

Even if he could get each set shipped for $16, the price difference is negligible.
All I'm saying is if you are going to start a GB at least make it significantly cheaper for everyone.

BTW, Cas, I don't know if you already know but you have to be an AMM in order to even charge over the wholesale price.

I am sorry it seemed like a good deal to me. Rotorworks are ~$330 a set for zinc plating on their website. I looked at other prices to determine mine. I am not saying anything about Rotorworks, don't take that wrong.
I will look further into pricing.

I just got off the phone....
I have worked out a deal to get these all the way down to $235 a set + shipping. If you want to find a better deal go ahead, I am not trying to shove any sales down your throat.... but please don't bog down this thread.

BTW I will try to get a pic soon with Mazda Forums written on something in the picture to follow rules.

The ones on ebay require an extra $30 for the cadmium coating...

So it's 220+47+30= $297 Ebay price
Depending on the shipping on the GB, it'll be lower of higher.

Thank you for the price update. He said $50 on the phone.... maybe he was just trying to make it sound like it was that much better of a deal or something..... I can get a shipping value for you so you can find out which one is cheaper.

I just want to let you guys know that I am not making any money here, nor was it ever my intention. This is so forum members can get a good deal, I have gotten great information and help on this forum.... I am not going to try to get $ as well.

Thanks Casopolis. I totally understand your position. I was interested in purchasing these rotors before your gb and I believe this gb will save us some money.

Btw, for the pads, I believe ********** has them for about $80 total. So it may be prudent to purchase the rotors here and then buy the pads from **********.

How much for shipping to 54475?

Do you know if they sell braided lines for the MSP, and if so how much for those?

Well just for comparison, they are $74 for one set. This is $90 for both. Street unit is a good company.

Also I'm interested in the braided lines for the MSP.

Sorry but i dont know if this fourm has a standard currenc but if they are shipping it out from Canada is it a Canadian price? I was always under the impression that slotted = street, cross drilled = track. Depending on how much the install would be, I would aslo be interested.

Good question - I guess I was assuming US dollar so it'd be good to clear this up. I think I'm in on this either way but I'll wait to put my name on the list yet. As far as drilled vs slotted, you're right. Generally people don't get drilled unless they're racing. But since the MSP seems to have a problem with warped rotors I think getting drilled is a good idea for the heat reduction. I like the stopping power of the stock rotors and pads, so no need for slots IMO. Just eats pads faster.

CasopoliS
04-12-2005, 10:08 PM
Yes they are USD. If you are in Canada, do the conversion and there is your price. Local pickup is available, the distributor is in Toronto... that will be arranged when the time comes.

If you want braided lines add $85 to total price. We are cheking on availability now.... if you want a set please let me know so we can get an idea.

BTW shipping rates are very low if you are local and shipping might be better than the gas! If you want a specifi quote, please let me know.

Install of rotors is fairly easy. Here is a sample install on the front.

They would look good on anything. They are stock size. Give me your address and zip code / area via PM. I will get you a shipping quote. T

The distributor has 10 waiting for me... but don't know how long he will hold off. Next time we talk I think a GB closing date will be addressed. Thanks for the interest.

This was a slightly better deal, so they were holding out to see if there was more interest. Too bad there wasn't. They can always get good deals on these rotors through Nights Auto, just tell them Jon sent you.
