Just bought a Mazda MP3!

So I got a just got a new Mazda MP3 im so excited, gonna pick it up on saturday (driving to another state to get it) it has 68,000 miles, doesnt have the stock kenwood mp3 player (has a sony now) has a scratch on the hood and a clean title. I will be paying $8250 for it. is that a good price? Im excited to do some mods and become an active member of this group.

What are the best upgrades that can give me more HP for my MP3?

Welcome and congratulations on your car. I think you got a decent deal - I mean, the mileage is kinda high, but the price reflects that, so you came out pretty good. As far as power - well, I don't know, I guess it depends on how much you're willing to spend. If you're wanting to start of subtle, then I suggest a cold air intake and maybe headers. If you have the money and want to go with a turbo, there's a few kits, just look in the "force induction" section. All the info you need is at one place or another on here. Just use the search. If you can't find what you're looking for, ask and somebody will help you out. Have fun!!!!!

Edit: Oh, and there's also a thread with a list of production numbers, and who owns them; sign 'er up!

I just called mazda and checked my production number!!! Guess what it was...
609!!!

That is very strange to me because that is my HOME ADDRESS number, I was even thinking about getting custom plates with 609 on it, I wish I would have done it now, it would be even cooler since my car is #609!
