As many of you probably know, my motor blew and it got covered under warranty. stock boost, stock everything. So now I finally get my car back after a month and here are several problems I have noticed after driving 10 miles.

#1 - When starting my engine.. it feels like the engine kinda jerks or something and theres a little clunk noise... maybe a bad motor mount?

#2 - After driving for like 10 minutes to my friends house.. I noticed my motor making a ticking noise.. I'm pretty sure that I have valve tap.

#3 - They never fixed my power steering fluid leak.

#4 - My engine bay is a disaster.. oil and power steering fluid all over the place. You would think they would clean it.

Guess I'm going back thursday.. I was so excited today in work when my parents told me they picked up the car.. and now I'm depressed/pissed off again. *sigh*

ticking noise is "normal" condition
the engine bay dirty? honestly, this is what the dealer will say " you just got a free ENGINE installed for you and it runs, why the hell is it our job to make the engine bay look shiny" :(
they should fix that leak.

yeah, dont excpect there to be a mint on your seat from the dealer, especially when they replaced yor engine. but take it back again till they get it right.

I would at least comment about it. We all paid thousands of dollars for our cars. The least a dealer can do is wash the car.

Yea, don't give them a chance to screw up anything else. Check the mounts yourself and have them fix the leak. Thank them and then leave quickly.

tru dat.

my mom had to have the engine on her jag xk8 completely replaced, and once we got it back, it look far from pretty. like someone just left the hood open outside for a few days .. and this is from a luxury car dealer. not suprising a mazda dealer didn't do the touch up's ..

So what they replaced the engine under warranty thats their job. They are not doing u any favores by doing this, thats what the warranty is for. I would be pissed too if I they did me like that. Sure its just an engine bay,but when u get ready to sell the car how is that going to look to prospective buyer. They did a crappy job and probly not even test drove it.

im just saying like.. my engine throws a rod through the front and back of the block... oil all over the place.. and they can't even clean up the quart of oil thats like laying on the rain guards and stuff at the bottom of the engine bay lol

i'm not saying i expect my car detailed.. but at least clean up the mess from the problem covered under warranty

Ewww....crappy crappy job...I saw one engine swap at my dealer and after it was in the whole damn engine by looked factory fresh!! Our Master tech is reeeeaaaally anal so, all major jobs turns out really well. I once watched him individually wipe/polish my lug nuts when putting my wheels back on! I hope those fools fix your engine right...and fix that annoying tick and such! Don't stop bothering them until it's perfect.

Some tick is normal, but why should it tick that bad on a brand new engine? But I know what your talking about, mine is slowly getting a bit louder and I just cant wait for the day when I actually have to pull the head and rebuild it.

Also man, your ava pic is sweet, isnt that from a video game or something???

well when my they replaced my tranny last year they gave mine back to me a mess too...i drove it home and noticed it was boosting and blowing off wierd. so when i checked under the hood, the bpv was connected on backwards, the clamps that clamp onto the bpv hoses were missing and the vacuum line going into the block was off. of course i brought it right back and they fixed it all right away no problems. i guess it all depends on the individual who works on your car.
