Don't know if will make any of you feel better, but I was driving down steveston highway minding my own business and two MPS's complete with plastic wrap on them went flying by me. So I pulled into SilverCity parking lot, (right across the street from port)
and watched as couple of more left the port area and went down the road and the other two returned, then were parked in the shipping area.
It seems like they are almost ready to go and that they were roading testing them. I watched about 6 of them leave and come back, before I ran out of coffee and left.
Unfortunatly didn't have my camera with me, but I will try to get some pictures of the ones in the shipping area with the signs in the back ground so you know where they are going.
For those waiting sit tight, it is definatly worth the wait.

I'm like a kid waiting for his favorite toy for xmas! I wish it would get here soon so I can stop reading about it on the ole computer and leave the house more often :)

I totally argee with Digi. This car is well worth the wait! When the rest of you guys get it, you'll know what we're talking about. Just a little longer.

what are they doing flying around with customer's cars??....
Those MSPs that flew by you digi168, were probably redlined a few times before heading back to the port.

shit I forgot. My dealer's Manager had some sort of meet in Halifax yesterday. Mazda flew a bunch of saleman, managers, etc from the east coast all to halifax so they can test drive the Mazda 6 amongst other things. Anyhow, the President of Mazda of Canada was there. Get this, my manager asked about the Mazdaspeed's, he, the Pres. said NONE have been released yet, and that they are STILL trying to fix the turbo problem, and that the date that are hoping to have them ready by is the 3rd week of Dec.
Imagine, not even the Pres. knows whats going on. HA HA HA. Unless he's hiding it. My dealer knew about Digi's car, because I told them before he left. But, he wasn't about the question the Pres. though, and call him a lier or something....come on right, it's the Pres.
This isn't really a big surprise, I mean, anyone in the work force knows that the Boss of any company rarely knows what really going on.
But, it goes to show, just how out of the loop the dealers are, and it's not their fault. My dealer emails ME, asking ME what's going on with the MSP, he then sends my email to his district manager to update him, and try to get it confirmed. Funny eh.

From what I've been told by my dealer, Mazda Canada and Mazda USA are 2 complete separate entities that have no connection to each other. I found this out b/c I wanted my dealer to order me some "mazdaspeed" floor mats, but he told me that they have no connection with MazdaUSA. Kinda sucks!

hahaha... so funny, looks like gyrospeed and digi must have bribed mazda to release the car!! (have you??... just kidding) Hey.... the president didn't know they're released already. (even though they know shit)
I do hope that the ones digi saw this morning is going to ship to me....

well, I just got back from the dealer, and was talking to the manager. He's a good longtime friend of mine. Anyhow, he told me more this time. He did press hard to try and find out about the MSP. In fact, it was at a conference, with EVERYONE there listening, and he asked the President right there in front of everyone about the MAzdaspeed, and well, you know the reply already. I give him credit....dude got balls.
The Pres. did say that the 2nd wave of MSP's is confirmed, and Canada IS getting both gray and yellow. A sure thing I was told.
But, man was he ever excited about the Mazda 6. HE almost had me convinced to wait for it instead of the MSP. He wasn't trying to convince me, but seeing how excited he was about the car....shit, it must be something really nice.
I was really hoping they'd have a Mazdaspeed there for them to drive as well, so I get someone I know really well to give an opinion of it. We share the same taste in cars. But, when he asked if they were going to get to drive them, all he got was....how can we drive something that ain't done yet? So he mentioned that he knew ( from me telling him about Digi) that someone is BC had theirs already......they denied it. So he said, what about the Press cars going around.....they said they weren't going around now and have gone back........gone back where? no one knows.
Ain't it a funny world. the only sure thing from Mazda.....is they know how to bullshit.

in all fairness, I wouldn't want to admit that only some dealers have the MSP in front of every major manager and salesman either. Can you imagine the response he'd get.
"Hey, how come we don't get one !!!! "From every manager there. So, maybe he does know, and was just playing it safe. With all the stress were causing the dealers, the Pres. would probably get shot for saying they released only a few, and the rest of you have to wait.

wow, thats a good point!
well, talking to my dealer again today. HE called Mazda Canada, and they confirmed the release of 6 cars, and it was for the ajac award. Some cars are being released, I don't know about the U.S., but they are having troubles getting the new part for the Turbo fast enough. Basically, as they get parts they finish the cars, test them, and send them off.
nothing new there. We knew all of this already, but WOW, mazda of Canada actually knew something.
They said to us, don't expect the car to be "under the tree for xmas" We may get it around the 1st to 2nd week of Jan. :(
Now, I'm pretty sure he meant us, as in NF. Other people may indeed get them before then as we are the furthest on the East.
Just my 2 cents for the day.
Any cars still sitting there not finished?

Thanks digi....how many do you think are left....I was hoping for this week but my dealer got thier shipment today and no MSP...more shipment next week...keeping my fingers crossed

they have the front work area and there is always about 30 cars there, but they move them to the back side when they are done and I have alot go through that area already so they must be almost finished.

Hey Digi168..
we're entering our 3rd week on December..
i was just wondering if you're seeing anything different at the B.C ports? I understand that you told us about the cars that were completed were shipped out...But how many more would you 'think' there are left?..Are all the cars pretty much complete in terms of the exterior or whatever you can see?
Post the latest pictures if you ever get the chances!

There's a car on it's way here, but it is going to someone else first. I have to wait for the 2nd one :(. But at least I'll get to see it within the next 2 weeks I hope.

Yes you pay taxes...
GST and PST only....at then end of the day was about $ 125 cdn with taxes and shipping
