I am no photoshop expert, but i was playing around with this idea after seeing the Haven grille post on ************, i got to thinking....what if....

pic 1 is the grille as is, just the center peice added.
pic 2 is with the sides shaved

What do ya think?....a little too Pontiac like huh?

very nice. does look a little too much like a pontiac for my taste. very nice work though.

not bad..like it with the shaved sides. Would the center piece kinda angle back and attach to the back of the bottom sector?

you should try it with a pic of the whole front end for better flow measures

It's looks like a nose! (screwy)

What the Mazda 3 needs is a more linear grille. Get rid of the curves.

I tried to define it better, but my skills ran out, the shading is kinda whack...i'm tired of messing with it...lol

but I got a bunch more ideas working off this one...

i say pull that middle bar out. and maybe put mesh or nothing behind it.
