Should I be concerned with oil on the turbo? It looks like its coming from the turbo>IC pipe.

I got that too...asked the techs at my dealer like 500 times about it. They told me it's normal and not to worry. I trust them completely, however their attitude is, "Relax, if it breaks, we'll warranty the shit for you, so chill out." I have heard of people making a "catch can" or other bypass devices to prevent the turbo from blowing oil into the intercooler piping. But this really is a "normal" turbo issue. If it gets really bad (intercooler get oil in it) then you may need to replace some gasket or seal in the turbo, I think.

There is nothing normal about oil on a turbo...

There must be a leak or someone was sloppy with the oil change.

I was debating whether or not to put on the GHL dowpipe yet because of this. I am still stock so, idealy I won't have any stealership problems. Besides the dealer here warrantied another member's MAF with a FMIC.
Here's a pic for those intersted

Oil can get there from the EGR? valve. The hose that goes from your engine to your intake piping. If there was an overfill of oil or some other reason for the motor to blow some oil out it will go into your intake pipe and therefore the turbo. From mechanics I have talked to they say a small amount is no big deal, but if you have a lot of oil there, there is cause for concern.

He is talking about oil that is leaking from around the intercooler piping, and it runs down onto the turbo. On MSP's this is apparently common with all of them according to the techs that work on all of them at my dealer. I had excessive oil on my turbo caused by a loose oil line on top of the t-25 that was simply tightened. But my turbo still blows small amounts of oil into the piping...which then runs down the vertical pipe onto the turbo. My buddies GNX did the same thing until he made a catch can. Every MSP except for one that I have check has the crusty oil leak under the heat wrap on the intercooler pipe.

Yeah I thouhg that it'd be blow-by for the most part. Okay now it's time to install the GHL (whip)
