PhotoShop Question

Is it possible to take any image and make it into your avatar with photoshop. Is there a way to Chop down either the resolution or the stick the whole picture inside of the 100x100 dimensions

yeah you can select the part you want in the regular picture, copy it...hit file...new i believe and create a new image that is 100x100 and then paste it in and then hit free transform and mold it in. also if you hold shift using the area selector (no idea what its called) then it will make a perfect square making things easier on you.

Sorry I use a mac so trying to convert everything to windows but it might be different.
