I'm having problems with my timing belt on my 1.5 I4 95' DX Protege...
To start off, last October, I was taking my car to work and when I came back out it wouldn't start... I had it towed to mechanic who told me my timing belt jumped and needed replaced so I had all the other belts replaced and the battery...
Fast forward to December... The timing belt started squealing for about 3 days and then my engine started overheating to max temp and no heat was coming out so I asked around on other forums and they said the timing belt had fallen off... Turned out to be correct, so took that back in and got fixed...
Fast forward to last night, the belt started squealing again out of no where and when I got home I checked again and of course, it has fallen off again...
My question is, how hard is this to replace on your own??? I have moderate knowledge of cars and would like to learn, but dont know if its something an amatuer can do...
Thanks...
