I thought you had to be in some kind of race events in order to get that. Please let me know if I am wrong and how to download it.

i think you ARE supposed to be a racer but you can register first. then you are supposed to send official results of the race and that you in fact did participate. however you can download the manual without sending anything. its appears under parts section but only after you register. if you didn't register you would not see the link.

i don't know where you bought it from but if you want to stop it call them up NOW. i would rather have the paper version (since you can take it down to the car) but comparing the prices (free vs. $100+) i'll settle for the pdf one.

Well I went early this morning to my mazda dealer and tried to stop it . They said no, but when I said when it gets in can I return it they called to try and stop it but recieved answer machine. They filled return form and said they would have to mail me a check hope so and soon can think of a lot of other things I can do with the money. I deffinately agree that is why I already printed most of it. Shit you can just og buy a box of paper from staples or something for like 40 dollars that should be way way way more than enough paper and deffinetly cheaper than 140. I already printed most of it.

Oh and thanks for info I would suggest to follow instructions from Yellow MP5 if you need the manual. I hope all works out for me.

Yeah, no problem. Thats what this board is for: to help each other out. You must have a fast connection if you printed most of it out allready. I saved it all on my hd and took me a couple of days. I didn't print it yet, will probably do that section by section when i work on the car.

Thanks to mazdamotorsports.com for posting it. There is also a parts guide but no matter how many times i tried one of the sections allways gets screwed (can't download the whole thing)

Guys, this is NOT cool. Those who accually race will not benifit from folks fraudulently registering and downloading the manual. This was put in place to help racers who race Mazdas to fix their rides because they are putting the Mazda name out there. It's acts like this that will mess it up for everyone. If I didn't have to leave for work right now, I would continue my rant. (notcool)

if mazda actually released performance parts for our cars and under warranty then i would be racing too. dont worry, we are putting mazda name out there. i helped start the first protege club in south florida and we go to a lot of shows.

I need the manual to put on Mazdaspeed parts. Because I cant race rite now doesnt mean I dont have intentions in the future. I dont got 15 gs sitting in my pocket rite now. I do see a point about opening an acount though just for manual. And if anyone needs it PM me, I am also still probally going to be having a manual. Even though Its not miata or proteges engine I have a F2 in my closet with one non turbo and two turbo intke manifolds one cylinder head left. Junking my other 2. and so on Mazda F2 eparts. I

All you have to do is accually attend 2 (two) events per year, and show them proof. That's it! And it's lagit. I'm no boyscout, but I'm just telling you what could happen as a result of more pople doing this.

i attended more than 2 events this year. autox.
i do know what could happen as more people do this, so why do we keep this up? lets drop the subject :)

Yep...if you do in fact race...make sure you send in your proof.....but if ANY of you are just registering so you can rip them off for a manual....that is NOT cool. NOT at all.

BTW.....this has come up before here.....and Mazdamotorsports.com were notified.....so.....there ya go!

What exactly do you need to show them as proof of you racing?

freekwonder

do they have to be road course races, SCCA? Or can you send them time slips for drag racing? what do they consider the documents for proof of racing.

didn't it say somewhere that if you do race, the parts you buy from them are not under warranty and the car you race is also not under warranty if you use it in competition?

From the bottom of Mazdaspeed's site

"Mazda Competition and stock parts are sold "as is" and without warranty of any kind. All implied warranties, including all warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby disclaimed. Purchaser acknowledges that no representations have been made to him regarding these parts, including but not limited to any representations as to their quality or performance, and that he (or she) shall be responsible for and bear all costs of repair or replacement of any defect in or failure of these parts. Its a simple fact......its a RARE occurance when you can find ANYBODY that will warrantee parts that are being sold for RACING PURPOSES.....as the seller/maker KNOWS they are going to be abused....and pushed to their limits....at least in many if not most cases. In all my years, and thats been a FEW, I have only found ONE place that had a warrantee for their racing parts.....only ONE.

So this little fact shouldn't surprise you.....and if it does.....get use to it when it comes to buying performance parts for your racecar.
