Just wanted to give you guys a heads up: The MAY 05 Modified Magazine just hit my door and it has a nice feature on a MSP. It's pages 90 - 99, so it's a good size article with nice pics. his car isn't all show as many of you think either. last year when i talked to him, when the car was still relatively new, he showed me his mods. he was running a disco potato, greddy spII exhaust, custom apexi skyline intercooler, 50shot of nitrous, all tuned on haltec. he was only running 5lbs of boost but had plans on running 18psi after some more work. this car can definately back it up.

All you haters are crazy. We all drive the same car. People make fun of our cars in stock form. Cuz of the spoiler and body parts. Who cares if they featured that car. I haven't seen the mag but it sounds like it could be somewhat of a clean job. It's not gonna give an msp a bad rap. Look at some of the crazy stupid shit they've put in magazines with other cars. It didn't ruin those cars. Why should they pick someone from here? Is the editor of Modified Mag supposed to know to look here? The people who own the car probably just have really good connections. At least a msp has a nice magazine feature. Our cars didn't even make the sport compact top 100. The spec v, srt-4 did. Those are our direct competitors. I was depressed to see our cars not in the list. Since according to sport compact car's article from 02 when they tested the msp it ran the best 700 ft slalom times of any production car they've tested. And gave the msp the throne for best the handling front wheel drive car in america. Even said it knocked the integra type r from the spot. So you guys can bitch all you want about what should have been printed in the mag. At least there is an msp featured in something. Sport compact car forgot about us even though our cars are pretty special compared to some who made the top 100.

His car got picked because of the crew he in. It's a car that he and his father has put a lot of time and effort in. I know some of the people that has worked on that car. He was one of the first people I heard of putting on a gt28rs and when he got the intercooler there wasn't a FMIC kit out that I knew of. The wings west kit was pretty much the only kit out for the car then. Jade crew is a all show car club that is fairly extensive. I believe that nearly all of the cars in Jade has had some mag article or cover. (Except the NSX because the guys has only had it for less than a year)

I've seen the car in person and talked to the kid driving it, i'm assuming thats the owner...you can instantly tell he didnt do any of the work, he couldnt explain to me anything, all he could do is point and tell me what it was and how much he paid for it....normal cocky car guy but not a complete dick...def. not someone I'd let turn a wrench in my shop....I bet money if you handed him a turbo and said hook it up he wouldnt know the oil passages from the coolant ones....none the less I do agree its just another story of a rich guy throwing money at a car.....kinda takes all the fun out of it if you ask me...but then again thats just my opinion, to each his own...regardless of what everyone thinks he got the cover shot...nobody can argue with that...

No problems except with the endtanks... If the outlets are in a different location then why didnt they make custom endtanks and get rid of the non needed outlets. That is about as bad a cutting your springs. what did they cap them with??? This caint be very good for flow charactoristics either... Just seems like a corner cut too short for a "show car"

He only actually using about half of that intercooler. Half of it is actually blocked off. I heard some people talking about it while it was being installed. I don't think that he knows about it though.

Just saw the magazine a couple days ago and ran across this thread. I like the buddy club 2 kit but not the wings west parts on it. Did not care for the doors the way they had the speakers done, Or wheels or Wing but I didn't think it was bad at all. I was excited to see a msp in a magazine and honestly didn't think that car would get ripped on as bad as it did. Being a ricer to me is more the person than the car, and this guy might be a ricer if he thinks his wing gave him 5 hp or like someone else stated he did not know what was going on with his car. Basicaly someone who acts like they know what they are talking about but clearly has no clue IMO is a ricer. But overall this msp was not bad and I agree there are a lot nicer msp's on this board.
