You can get the Injen CAI and not use the pipe that goes into the wheel well...just attach the filter to the MAF. Placement is good, you just want to fabricate a brace of some sort to support the pipe

Hum, one of the member( Riles) is making CAI for us. It will be a CF CAI.
He will also make SRI as well, I am one of the tester for him. I will have the CAI by Wed. You can contact him for a SRI.

What don't you like about the Perrin? It works great. Mine has some slight damage on the filter since I have a FMIC where the BOV is placed directly beneath the SRI filter, causing the filter to sit about 2 inches higher than it would normally. So now the tip of the filter rubs the underside of the hood. I'll soon be switching the filter to a nice short HKS one. The Perrin was $200 new and New filter is about $50 so I think I'll still have spent less than what a new Injen or AEM CAI costs.

^^ Pretty clean engine bay for a 36,000 mile daily driver (spin)
