I got a single run in today over at The Dyno Edge. I got there right when they were about to put the supercharged viper on for some tuning, and they were going to be at it all day most likely, so they let me get a quick one in to see where I am at after the new FMIC from Mental Addiction. I even got to run it for free this time.:D I guess my last pulls made the operator dig my car more than I realized.:)
So here it is, 12psi, same maps as my last runs, only change was the FMIC... 263.4whp and 253.0wtq. That's 5 more whp and the same wtq as my runs with the iON FMIC.

Very nice numbers BTW. Don't you still have stock rods? (boom02) How long you think it will hold up?

My guess is that I just have far too much timing pulled right there to be safe for the max tq point. Now that I have some data for the AFR values, and I will be running this setup for awhile, I am going to go ahead and adjust my maps to smooth out that dip at 3500 and clean up the AFR where it dips to 10.
what other mods do u have? nice numbers

Been holding at this level for about 4 months now, yes I am still running the stock motor. I am hoping she holds up for a few more months until my motor is ready.:)

For purely selfish reasons, i'm glad to see there was only a 5 HP increase over the Ion kit.

Haha, yea. The iON is a very good kit. Their core looks damn near identical to the Mental Addiction Garrett core... well, aside from the polished finish that is.:p

Those are some damn sweet numbers!! I cant beleive your still on stock internals. Would you consider seeing how long it would last before you throw your new motor in? Im am very curious how long it will last. You said you had 30K on it right? How many miles did you have on it when you started to do some serious mods to it?
BlkZoomZoom
03-21-2005, 08:27 PM
Mine lasted 320 quarter mile passes at comparable hp levels....

That's the plan.
...You said you had 30K on it right? How many miles did you have on it when you started to do some serious mods to it?
Yup. I started modding at 5k, and I guess you could say it got serious around the time of the EMS which was at about 15k. I have been running at least 220+ for my high setting since then.

As the other guy said, I feel better about my ION core thanks to you. After looking at the pictures and hearing your testimony I think it's the same core, just diffrent end tanks.
