Has anyone replaced the fuel filter in their 5? I'm at about 53K and it seems like something that should be done. There seems to be no mention of it in the manual. I know it's located in the gas tank, accessable from beneath the rear seat.

from what I remember, the fuel filter is built into the fuel pump, so you have to change all of it at the same time.

So if there's no problem, does it need to be fucked with or can it be left alone?

I was told that you don't have to change it till 100000 miles.

That's fine with me. The less maintenance I have to do the better.
