A local shop is building a custom CAI for me, all that I need now are the silicone couplings. Does anybody know what size coupling I will need to go to the turbo? it looked to me like 2.25 but it was hard to measure with the stock piping pulled aside. I am wanting to use 3" piping all the way around but my problem is that i would need a bunch of couplings that change sizes (2.75-3.00.....). does anybody know if a 3" coupling would be alright to go to my MAF (2.75"). It would save me about 5 or 6$ if i could use one that didn't change sizes but I also don't want to be dealing with a coupling popping off all the time

3" = too big. Stick with 2.5" tubing.

Most CAI's are 2.75", to match the MAF diameter. Anything bigger would be pointless because:
A. You aren't flowing enough air to need it
B. You still gotta go through the MAF which would be a bottleneck.
The turbo inlet is slightly smaller, 2.5 i guess, cause there is a silicon reducer from my intake pipe(AEM) to compressor inlet.

the inlet is 2.25 and the output is 2

thanks, I thought it was 2.25 but it was hard to tell. I'll post some pics when its done
