Hi,
So far i have a home made SRI that i made from a civic CAI. And hopefully a downpipe this weekend. but what im asking is this.
I have a Forge BOV ordered and i want to use factory turbo pipes for now, but eventually, JUST REPLACE the turbo to IC pipe with a hard pipe. Put a nipple on the HP and keep the BOV where it is stock.
I think i can make my own hard pipe at work, but if i can find one cheap i'll buy that one.
After that is done, im looking at customs SMIC.
I want to keep most of it stock because i hear the CAI gives you super turkey, and i don't want everything to look aftermarket. So im powder coating my parts black.

I'm sure it could work. I don't see why it wouldn't.

About the turkey...
I got a mitsubishi BPV that came with my begi FMIC. The diameter on this thing is like 2X our stock BPV. I have AEM CAI this BPV rid(ded?) me of turkey. A very nice alternative to the overengineered(IMO) dual setups so common around here. KISS: keep is simple, stupid.

Well i wouldn't even really swap my IC pipes but i heard if you replace the SMIC, that its a good idea to.

CAI just magnifies the turkey, your setup will determine if it exists. I have heard putting the BOV on the Turbo -> IC pipe kills turkey. I suggest recirculating your BOV though.....drives better, better response. I am thinking there might be no turkey even recircualting the valve off that hardpipe.

DSMConvert is selling powdercoated hardpipe now for $185 shipped. he has 3 left, you should check it out in the marketplace forum.

Yeah, I'm just saying you could use a bigger BPV to rid yourself of turkey if you wanted, IC pipes wouldn't have to be necessary for that. Everyone I have seen on here who has gotten an aftermarket SMIC has been very pleased with the results. Best of luck with your setup.

a larger bpv in the same placement of the stock bpv? just trying to get a visual on this setup. I have the turbohoses hardpipes kit so my bpv is on that short stick of stock piping - would you replace that whole piece, or just replace the stock bpv and keep the piping?

I can take a pic later. You will probably have to have a reducer on each end to get the BPV to fit right. My IC pipe has a fairly large diameter BPV nipple so it fits fine on that end with just some bigger rubber hose and worm clamps. Then the end that goes into my CAI has a reducer made from aluminum, but you could probably get silicone reducer or some cheap pvc reducer from home depot if you wanted.
