well if it 'retailes' for close to 2 gs US and he is selling it for 150 something is obviously not right. Id email him for pics aside from the crappy one he has.

They just misspelled the website address. Even still, I would be a bit skeptical.

You pay for what you get, you can blatanly tell that the cut out the grill on that pic of the protege and set it over their pic of the IC, I would be very skeptical.

I read through the site, seems like some good info on cooling and intercoolers. Doesn't look that bad.

Piping is aluminumized for corrosion protection, our clamps and vinyl connectors are made of high performance quality material to withstand high temperatures and high pressure. This is a press bend pipe kit.
Aluminumized? It sounds like a killer deal but I would ask for specifics before making any kind of purchase.

I called the number on the website where it came from but i blocked my number. Some old Mexican Lady answered the phone. "Hello" I said is this extreme imports? She was so confused.

Its probably some kid who got screwed and is trying to make his money back. Since there is a no return policy on the website.

It's only at 152 right now which doesn't seem that bad to me. I don't think you could buy that many mandrel(sp) bends for 150.

Hi fellow members... I'm the one that one this kit on ebay. $610 is steep, but I'm optimistic. It will be a little while b4 the install, but I'll be sure to inform all of you concerning quality/ease of installation/fit/etc. Thanks... later.

Look at all those 90* bends. Oh man, that's terrible.

Edit: I looked at the intercooler again. Ha ha ha, those endtanks are retarded. I can't believe someone would pay money for that.

I can see the similarities, but they aren't exactly the same, it also looks as though the couplings they are using are absolutely craptacular.

Bottom line, still best to go with MAM or HiBoost or something similar.

I received the kit yesterday and it is a piece of shit through and through. It is not even the same kit pictured. It has 13 aluminum pipes... not the five pictured. It is definitely thrown together. There isn't a connection/flange for the stock/or aftermarket bpv-bov. The intercooler construction is very crude. The welds are shady and there is not a lick of polishing. $610 would have been good for the kit pictured, but I got shafted. I contacted that seller and requested a refund based on misadvertising.
Fellow EBAYERS: If he says f*you, what steps do you recommend I take through ebay? Thanks for suggestions.

*** I'm now saving money for the Hiboost kit or Ion kit. Lesson learned.

I sent this to the looser.

I've read about this auction titled "MAZDASPEED PROTEGE HUGE FM INTERCOOLER KIT" and it was a piece of crap. The pipes you mailed were not the same as pictured. Understand that the word is out and the MAZDASPEED and Protege community are aware of your products. Enjoy the 610 bucks you just ripped off from one of our members...it will be your last. If these auctions continue we will find you and words will not be exchanged. Also understand we are all over the world and we have an eye out. Think next time you’re in a subway or restaurant...does that guy drive a Protege?

did you pay via paypal? you can file a claim with pay pal to get your $$ back

ca_deal1
03-23-2005, 01:50 AM
Sent the item back first, make sure you have tracking #.
After the he got the FMIC, MAKE SURE AFTER HE GETS IT, then you go paypal and request a refund.
YOU CANT NOT file a claim if you still have the item.

Or, if he shipped you the FMIC without tracking, then just file a claim that you didnt get the item. Then after you get the refund, return the item to him.

If you have any question about how to get your money back, you can sent me a PM.

PharmacyMSP

I did pay via paypal, but I looked on paypal's sight and they state that the auction must have the buyer protection icon next to the seller's name in order to file a claim. This auction unfortunately didn't have that. I did pay via paypal though. Is there anyway I can still go through paypal?
You can PM me. Thanks everyone.

Did you pay through paypal with a credit card?
Even though Paypal advices against it I'd file a claim with the credit card company

1.) Did you receive a tracking # with the intercooler?
2.) Has the seller said anything to you yet?
3.) Have you contacting paypal?
4.) Credit card question above

He sent it via UPS, but didn't give me a tracking #. I obviously have that now since it's been delivered. He sent it from a business where he works and I contacted him today. I told him I'm going to send it back to him for a refund. I have the tracking # and as soon as he receives it, I'm going to file a claim w/paypal. I paid partially w/a credit card and partially w/ my checking acct. I'm taking Ca's advice right now. I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks for support.

Hey here is something else you can do,( kind of evil)
Since he didnt give you any tracking # ( which means he didnt have prove of shipping)
You can file item not recrived, and ask for a refund. After you get your money back, then you can think about if you want to ship the item back or not. HAHAHA.

Again this is kind of evil.

Dear ii-savy,

this is the kit that I recieved from extremeimports.net from ebay. I never opened the package. I am taking care of it with the person that bought it from me, so before you start opening your mouth maybe you should know what you are talking about.

He is just trying to stall time.
If he never open the box, how could he took a picture. If he really never open the box, then he used a wrong picture for the auction. Either way its his fault.

My reply:

JEFF BERGER,
Jeff, If you never even opened the package then how did you take a picture of the IC kit? I know exactly what I am talking about. You didn't take a picture of YOUR IC kit, you used a picture off of a web site. I personally know the gentlemen who purchased the IC kit and he has yet to hear back from you. It seems you did screw him out on the proper pipes that were SUPPOSED to come with the IC kit which you had pictured in your ebay auction. Looks to me they do things differently in Everett, WA. I will continue to track the progress on this situation to be sure you make it right by sending the proper pipes pictured in YOUR ebay auction.

I'll post some pics this afternoon. All of the pieces where bubble wrapped and I didn't want the hassle of repackaging all of it, but you'll get the idea. I didn't take a good pic of the intercooler, I had already wrapped it back up, the pics I took where mainly for inventory proof.
II-Savy, Try and be careful not to piss him off too much. After I get my money back, we'll continue to give him hell.

Currently the kit is on its way back to him in WA. ($22, Fed-Ex spanks UPS as far as large packages!) As soon as he receives it, I'm going to file a claim w/ paypal.

OK not a problem. I do not want to cause trouble at all or piss him off. I wanted him to be sure he understood you have friends in the community that will not sit by as one of "US" gets F'ed over 610 bucks for something he totally cheated you on....I will totally stop emailing him completely. I 100% just want you to get "justice". Good luck dude.

Chris S. is cracking me up!! Regardless of the current situation you need to have a claim submitted through Ebay Fraud Protection services. Now this guy has your IC, your money and your return shipping charges. Go ahead and start the process with ebay as it takes several weeks sometimes. I also filed complaints with the FBI's fraud division on a bum ebay seller I ran into. The FBI called me, got my story, called him and he called me within 10 minutes.....after ducking my calls and email for 3 weeks.....I got every penny back AND kept the cd player.

Here a couple of pics. I did some calculating and if I had used all 13 pipes w/intercooler, I would need 15 couplings! Not SIX. None of the pipes had any brackets for support, let alone a damn connection for the stock bpv or aftermarket bov. I suppose smart people don't vent. The intercooler also had no connections for mounting or support. Hell if I'm going to do all of the fabricating, I could by a polished 20x6x3 aluminum bar/plate intercooler ($165), a 2.5" universal polished aluminum ic pipe kit w/silicone couplings and t-clamps ($210). I figure w/ welding and any unforseen expenses (extra coupling, etc) it would end up running a little under $500. It would be every bit as good physically and performance-wise as any kit out there. Although MAM's kit is still the jam for the $. Does anyone know somebody who customized his/her own kit?
Thanks again for everyone's support. I'll keep you guys posted.
