Hey all, I'm about to install a spoiler on my '05 Accord and it comes with stiffer trunk springs to compensate for the heavier trunk with the spoiler. In order to do so I need a Honda Trunk Spring Remover/Installer tool. I think the P/N is 08M10-SM4-100. I need it for an Accord but I think the same tool is used for other Hondas. If you happen to have one and is collecting dust, I'll be more than happy to take it off your hands for a fair price. Help is appreciated.

Umm...don't know much about hondas, never looked at em in that manner at least. But if it is just a spring you should be able to use any depressor to remove the spring...I could be WAY off.
But good luck with the search...
BUMP!

It is not a coil spring. It is a torsion bar type spring where you have to twist one end that is shaped like a hook. The tool conforms to the hook and it has a handle to give you leverage to twist the torsion bar so you can remove it from its location. Oh well, the search goes on.

OOOOHHHH!! RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT!!!!
You should call one of the local repair shops that works on hondas in such and see if they have one you could go down and use or such, or one they would be willing to sell for cheap. That would probally be the quickest way of doing it.

How heavy is this wing that it requires beefier trunk springs?

Well, it is a spoiler, not a wing, so it is not that heavy. I placed the spoiler on the trunk and hit the trunk release button and it still opens but not as wide as I would like. I know it's not big deal but when I'm walking up to the trunk with my arms full and I pop the trunk button on the remote, I would like it to open up enough where I can just place the items in the trunk without having to open it up more. The stiffer springs that came with the spoiler is meant to do just that.

Yes, I did see that at that site when I bought some stuff from them but I didn't feel like paying $26.80 + shipping for something I'm only going to use once. I was hoping that someone who had used it once and now have no use for it will want sell theirs.
