I just installed Firefox and I like it so far. However, it's not allowing me to scroll w/my mouse wheel. Anybody know why this is happening and got the fix? Thanks! :D

(werd) Thx guys. I'll poke around this thing and see if I can't figure something out. If not then I'll hit Dexter up.
perhaps you need to install some mouse software... not sure if it needed for firefox or not, but firefox scrolls for me and I have the intellimouse software installed...

Weird, I never heard of this problem. I've been using firefox for a while, on many different computers, and never encountered this problem. What kind of mouse do you have?

It's a Microsoft Intellimouse 1.2A.
Just found this on the Mozilla website but I'm not sure on how to perform most of this except for the very last one:
On Windows, mousewheel scrolling does not work with all drivers. If you have problems, try updating your driver or disabling any "helper" programs that your mouse uses. If you have a Logitech mouse, you can either upgrade the driver (to at least v9.60) or enable the "Microsoft Office compatible scrolling" option in the Mouse/Buttons control panel.

Ok, so I installed a new driver and still nothing. This suxors. Can anybody tell me what these "helper" programs may be? (argh)

Do you have any programs running in your system tray(lower right) with a mouse icon or something? Anything there that affects your mouse settings in any way? I think that is what they mean by helper program.
did you re-boot after you installed the mouse software... it doesn't normally start until you do the re-boot
go to the options and look at the mouse scrolling settings. i think there's some in there

Yep, sure did. Aaaaand it did nothing.
I have a mouse thing and it's called Mouse Software Properties and basically lets you assign button functions and that's about it. Could this be the culprit?

what is Foxfire?
Firefox is a web browser, you can surf the internet with it. It can be used to replace internet explorer, it has some cool extra features that IE doesn't have, and it is more secure in general. Using firefox can reduce the risk of your computer being taken over by malicious programs.
