Hey after a shitty day working , I had to deal with a bunch of people on here, I probably took it out on a lot of them, but am I being to harsh on people for the FS section, I just feel like sometimes I am most likely a pretty big dick. So help me out, vote in my poll.
Am I doing a alright job:
Or am I being to harsh:
Or you want to throw a spoon at me:

I think you are doing a decent job...i would be more worried about new b's coming to the forum trying to sell things..than members who have tons of posts..and has been on for a long time.

I think you're doing a great job. In all honesty though, the members with lots of posts are just as prone to rip us off. I think by now everybody has seen the new rules. so strict enforcement is best for the forum. Keep up the good work.

You have done nothing wrong. You're enforcing the rules that were designed to keep everyone as safe as possible when completing transactions through this forum. If people are unwilling to follow the simple rules, then it's too bad for them.

Well I voted for the utensil.....because I think the new rules are stupid. If I want to trust another forum member without seeing pics blah blah blah, that's MY problem, not the board's. We're not all little kids with no common sense so the rules are not needed. I know it's not your fault the rules are there....but still, the rules suck and if I was in your position I'd step down from being a mod because of them. That's just me though.

Kind of like dealing with the kids you deal with each day right?

Your doing alright, however, you should of just let chrisgemini respond and put pictures up. He's been here for a little while and a native CT guy..But, other than that, your doing fine.

It is hard for me to do those types of things without people whining that I am playing favorites. There are about 30 members I know that would not screw people over , but I am still going to treat them the same way, it would just help if everyone helped employ the new rules, because it sucks when someone gets scammed and then people attack me for not being harsh enough. So I dont know but for now on the rule for all the FS/NV section is that if the requirements are not met right away we will have to close the thread , and when the member thinks they have met the requirements they PM us back and we open it back up.

hold back a little on the personal statements and you will be fine, not that i don't agree with some of the ones i saw, just not needed really, i personally don't see what's so hard about posting a pic of the item you are selling with a little sign, unless of course you don't A) have a camera or B) are fraudulent...and A can be easily solved, someone you know must have a camera at least or go buy one, you can get a digi camera for like 80 bucks now..

Well you have the right approach in treating everyone the same regardless of if they're a "veteran" or not. The problem is the stupid picture idea is nothing but a false sense of security - I'm sure all of you would agree it doesn't make the seller any more or less dependable. So there's not much point in it except for being a hassle for the people who are trustworthy as well as a false security blanket for newbs. Now if a newb comes on and doesn't get his merchandise shipped to him, he'll be even more pissed.
But sorry, this thread isn't to debate the logic of the rules -- it's to debate whether you're right or wrong in enforcing them, so I'll shut up now.(smash)

^^i agree with that also girth, im on the fence about this, personally i don't trust anyone on here no offense but that's how i feel, except for people who have already sold numerous items then i am at ease with my money, like MAM for instance...didn't have much problem throwin down 1300 to him...but there are people on here(won't mention names but has happened recently) who are even more shady then noobs, that makeup stories about items being shipped and stuff of that sort...and people are waiting for 2 months and nothing...so i guess it can go both ways

I think you should just post a warning in any thread that doesn't meet the requirements instead of closing it. Other users could do it too, so eventually anyone who isn't meeting these guidelines will be made fun of and ostracized :)

I personally would rather do that, but we kinda agreed on to just leave the comment the close it, but there is no reason why we cant change that.

the only thing i would comment on is that i've read a lot of for sale threads that haven't followed the rules. this may have changed in the past couple of days, but like everyone else has said, if someone has 1 post or 10,000, they still have to follow the rules and, as hard as it will be, you've got to get into all the threads that need to be fixed.
